Re: and we were seperated...

you have probably gone to DHA or similar areas, but you have never really seen the utter misery in Pakistan. i have seen little kids picking up food from dumpsters because they did not have enough to eat.
we might be similar in a lot of places, but there is one difference that separates us: liberty and democracy.
imagine the state of a poor person in Pakistan and a similar person in India.they both go through almost the same things, and yet there is one visible difference. even the thoughts of people in pakistan are controlled by others. people are not allowed to express their opinions. that does not happen in India, at least in the political sense.
we might not urinate on railway, but we urinate everywhere else. the whole country is a toilet. you want to see a glimpse of that? go to the underpass near services hospital, lahore. it smells of piss all the time. go to the bus stop near ganga ram hospital in lahore. same thing.
also you are not first class citizens here. think about the kind of respect you get at the airport when you come back from a trip abroad.i dont think that could be called first class.
and you are too delusional about the poverty aspect. we have almost the same ratio of poverty as that of india. we have not achieved much in that area.
perhaps too much patriotism has blinded you. open your eyes, come out of your cozy house in defence and see what people are struggling with in this country. that you might have been born with a silver spoon in the mouth does not mean everyone else has the same fate.

Re: and we were seperated...

^^ i dont live in defence...

get your nose checked at the services hospital. maybe you have a cold or something else.

so you want me to read the official statistics? brilliant. do you even know how statistics are calculated here? did you know that they are made up in the offices. I dont have to look at the statistics. i see many people whose lives have not improved and will never improve. as for statistics, i will quote you benjamin disraeli: there are three kinds of lies; lies, damned lies and statistics.

so people in foreign ministry have Kahuta instead of seats? brilliant. I'd rather sit on my chair then on a bomb, seriously. as for bombs our country needs more kurtas than kahutas, more butter than guns( to use an economics metaphor). our priorities are misplaced.
and India too has a nuclear bomb. what is the big deal? a nuclear bomb is useless. you can not use it on anyone, or else it leads to the annhilation of all the people. your way of measuring progress quite amazes me.

there are still many more muslims in India..much more than the population of Pakistan. why didnt Jinnah save them too?

Re: and we were seperated...

CLEANLINESS which is integral part of Islam.

People must take care of cleanliness. Must keep themselves as much 'paak', clean as possible. The difference you notice is due to this distiguished feature of Islam. Not all the muslims in pakistan but most care about it.

Im not sure any other religion stresses cleanliness as much as Islam does.

The cleanliness (of inside and outside - of nafs and body) is directly related to prosperity, IMO.

Re: and we were seperated...

i can check it even in umar hospital...SurgiMed...Hearts clinic..and dozens of hospitals ..opposite to Kinnaird College...and Race Course garden...but fact is fact...never smelt there..

OK..then go the hell our budget also...which depends upon statitic...should we burn down Federal bureau of Statistics in Islamabad ...:)

Oh man..there were no seats..they used to sit on bottle crates...and used trones (kantai babool kai) as paper pins..to tie papers....and then we made kahuta....kantai sai kahuta tak ka safar aaisai tai nahee hua..aai samajh....

and Nuclear Bomb..plz...ask this question to any japnese..he will tell you ..whats its importance !!!!!!!

Jinnah was not Thaikhadair of every muslim of the world....he saved as many as he can...many foolish indains muslims remaied there with thouht that hindus will live with them ..as same as they have been living for 1000 years..pooh...foolish..they forgot for 1000 years muslims weer rulers..and now hindus are ....OK

Re: and we were seperated...

agreed sofia..we must take care of it...

Re: and we were seperated...

Devine-light: as usual, you are thinking from your heart (misplaced patriotism???) rather than your head.

Make no mistakes, the world is sitting up and taking notice of India's progress, unfortunately Pakistan is still a country trying to resolve it's basic issues.

You want to live in the past glories of 1000 years of muslim rule, so be it. The rest of the world has moved on, and today's realities are what counts.

Re: and we were seperated...

you hit the nail on the head, malhot.

Re: and we were seperated...

youb say whatsoever...seperation is the greatest blessings for us..and i want this blessing for 20 crore muslims of india also..again...

will you give 200 millions muslims thier right peacefully..or as usual..by force...they will eventually get it..so ..its better to give them ...before ..any fight....

Re: and we were seperated...

for once stop living in this muslim utopia that you have created in your mind. those muslims dont want separation from India. do you have any facts to back up your assertions?

Re: and we were seperated...

OH ..yes ..if they want..i want...!!!!!

Its the basic rule of psychology that under living some majority...for long time..people used to this set up..like Bani Israel..blammed Moosa(as) ...why he brought them out of Egypt....

Allama Iqbal ..has said a lot of about it....

Ghulami mai badal jata hai...qaum ka zameer..and something liek that....

If they want ..i want....

1947 ..the same thing happened..why not in 2007....

Re: and we were seperated...

Your elusive dreams!

Re: and we were seperated...

achievements are always based on dreams !!!!~

Re: and we were seperated...

you have little knowledge of what is going on in the outside world. you probably have never read a history other than the standard textbook of pakistan studies. you dont know that history is so skewed. you dont have an idea what were the real circumstances that led to the partition, nor would you like to know, for you are too warped in this muslim-good-hindu-bad smoke.
remember that after 1947 there was only one separation.. that was in Pakistan, not india. remember pakistan lost half of its population and area. remember that it was the muslim brothers being treated so nicely by their other muslim brothers.
India, on the other hand, has remained strong. why? I am going to tell you why.
despite its failings the people in India have a working constitution. they have made great improvements over the last six decades and with a working democracy they will attract far more investment in the country because they have a stable political environment. economists agree that a country with unstable environment does not get much investment. so in the next sixty years we will be even far behind than india.
we are Kaghazi shairs.
