Ancestry Claims

Different nations / people try to relate them with great people by way of claiming ancestry.

Share some claims of such people and whether you believe that its true or not

Re: Ancestry Claims

^ Like Syeds claim that they are arabs?

Re: Ancestry Claims

yes like some Pashtoons say that they ae Bani Israel (lost tribe of Jews)

Re: Ancestry Claims

I personally think that all of us have come from Palestine/Israel at some stage. As thats the area where the oldest civilizations are, and where almost all the prophets were born.

Re: Ancestry Claims

That may be a view considering biblical history, but again there are contradictions like Adam (AS) descended in India and Hind was Noh's (AS) son

Re: Ancestry Claims

How can you conclude that Adam (AS) descended in India? All the old civilizations like Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt and Greece are close to each other.

Re: Ancestry Claims

Have you heard of Adam's peek in Sri Lanka? some of the tafaseer e Quran suggest that Adam (AS) was descended in India (though such statements are without any proof)

Re: Ancestry Claims

^ I have heard about that. Its similar to different accounts of where Budha was born. Otherwise the most important Prophets that we know of, all were born in and around Bani Israel.

Re: Ancestry Claims

But the areas of sub-continent were inhibited for as long as the civilisation of Mesopotamia (where most of the Biblical prophets belonged). If they got oldest cities like Damashq, we have oldest cities like Multan

Re: Ancestry Claims

I have seen ppl claiming tht hum hazrat ALI ki aulad mei se han

Re: Ancestry Claims

kahan per?

Re: Ancestry Claims

Re: Ancestry Claims

you also find such claims in Iran too.

Do you know Baloch's claim that their ancestor was Hazrat Hamza (uncle of the prophet)

Re: Ancestry Claims

acha I didn't knew, is this common in muslim culture or hindus or other ppl also make such claims

Re: Ancestry Claims

maybe more research is needed, but how old would be Indus Valley civilization? Say 3300 BC? And when were the Pharaohs?

Re: Ancestry Claims

Its common in almost all cultures and religions. Brahmin claim to be descendent of Brahma

Re: Ancestry Claims

Baloch are the cousins of Pashtuns (they like it or not) and the Brahui's I believe are among the aboriginals of the land. They speak a language similar to Dravidian.

Re: Ancestry Claims

Indus Valley Civilization may be at its peek around 3300 BC, but that peek would have not been obtained in few years. Pharaoh Mummies have been found wearing cloth known as 'Sundus', which was made in Indus valley

Re: Ancestry Claims

Re: Ancestry Claims
