Re: Ancestry Claims
Most of the people in Pakistan are outsiders, because of the invasions there. My family migrated from Iraq (Sammarra) to India around 500 years ago. If they had not moved maybe I'd have been part of saddams army.

Invasions doesn't mean that there were no aborigines here in Pakistan / sub-continent. The land got all properties (cultivations, etc) to inhibit people. Invasions were mainly due to the wealth of the settled area that attracted invaders (read as looters)

The aboriginals were there and still here, maybe the most despised ones. The chuRRas, musallis etc. there have been lot of intermarriages and mixing too.

yes there have been intermarriages and the aboriginals could not coup with the continuous (never ending) invasions and they remained in lower class.. but remember whenever these ChuRRas, musallis got chance (like at the time of partition), they come up with claims of having ancestors from the elite and sacred class
Re: Ancestry Claims
Thats another interesting debate. I was once checking some caste which is present in Indian Punjab and Pakistan. In India it is considered to be lower caste and in Pakistan, those people are zamindars. Some research was carried out on the genes of the same caste in Hindus and Muslims and they formation was entirely different. Genetic markers in the Hindu and Muslim Gujjars of Northwestern India - PubMed

that seems interesting. People converted to gain financial gains and better position in court of the rulers
Re: Ancestry Claims
Its common in almost all cultures and religions. Brahmin claim to be descendent of Brahma
No. Brahmins are those who have learnt the teachings of Brahma. They are in turn vested with titles like guru as they teach the future generations.
