An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

^ human morals r different for different societies and religions....
having sex with slave girls is very well allowed in Islam....
what is difficult for u to understand in this????

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Because they're not being treated with respect, since they are not afforded the same rights that a free believing woman is.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

^ what part of SLAVE do u not understand????
how can u possibly have a slave equal to a free person????
surely there have to be some differences....

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

armughal
....Is it not a rape to have sex with the maid-slave?

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

^ no....
Islam allows sex with the slave girls just as it allows sex with a wife....

is sex with a wife considered rape????

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

How many slave girls you know are consenting to having sex with their master? How often do you think its mutual?

It still happens in present day, by the way. I know of it happening in the middle east. They shag their maids. Now, who knows if its consentual or not.

Plus, who knows if the real wife knows.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

By the way, armughal, slavery is not encouraged in Islam, by any means. And even if you have a slave, you must treat them equal, like a family member.

That's why I don't understand. Why is it that when it comes to sex, then a female slave has less rights than the free female?

And in Islam, does a slave enter into slavehood consenting? Is the title of "slave" enough to give the master sexual rights over the slave? So, if the title given to the slave of "slave" is forced upon the slave, then aren't these "sexual rights" also forced?

Hence, it would become rape.

Surely, there are more rules and regulations than that...

Or somewhere down the line, history was altered to make you think that the Prophet encouraged sex slaves...

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Something very strange statement. Is wife equal to slave and vise versa?

In any civilized country having sex with the maid servant is known as rape and the maid can prosecute the owner.

Is it written in Quran that the maid-slave has a right to refuse the demand of the owner?

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Is Islam changing over the years ?

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

I believe it actually does say the union needs to be consentual.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

did i say that the man can have sex with a slave against her will????
or that a man can force his wife into having sex against her will????

its not as complicated as u guys seem to make it....

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

another stupid comment as if having sex with maids (servants) is legal in middle east…
those few who do this r actually raping their maids, just like it happens in pakistan and india and in many other countries around the world…

ignorant comments like these just make u look like a fool so plz avoid them…

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

^ armughal

This is a problem that deals with interpreting Islam while mentally oriented to westernized thinking. When someone tried to lineate Islam with West, such confusions arise. For us, it might be stupid but for them, it is quite reasonable.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Servants do not equal to slaves. That is, masi, maids, and the like do not fall under the category of slaves.

To the best of my knowledge, slaves are war captives. I'm sure there must be a few other ways of acquiring/having slaves, but I don't think a servant falls under the category of slaves. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

listen to the apologists.. to uphold their Taghuts they are going to corrupt Allah's religion and assert that Islam allows slavery!!!

all the Arabic experts need to go read the Qur'an again.. there is a word for slave and the Qur'an uses it when necessary.. there is a reason ma malakat aimanukum in used in other places..

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

Abid is a slave…‘right hand posession’ implies captives, which were not really similar to slaves…but rather may have become slaves. So a captive was either release (as a free person) as part of a ransom bargin or kept as a slave if they were not ransomed.

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

slves means they can be sold in the markets .

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

armughal, how is having sex with your "right hand" any different than cheating on your wife?

Regardless if "right hand" is a slave, a maid, or a war captive.

Like I said before, and no one has answered this question. Does a husband need permission from his wife to have sexual relations with this "right hand"?

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

what if muslims lost in the war to non-muslims can they be taken as slaves? would you like your women to be treated as non-muslim captives?

Re: An-Nisaa (Qur’an, 4:3)

what exactly is a slave?, i mean how does any one become a slave of some one else.

as far as the question is concerned, i dont think that u can have any x with your slave if your wife/husband or the slave him/herself doesnt permit it, this is just what i think and only Allah knows best. and the maids are massis etc are not slaves.

i have one question too though, i think it's the same for a women owning a slave man, please enlighten me.

thank you
