An Independent Kashmir.

According to an GS Kashmiri person, Pakistan would have no objection to an Independent Kashmir.

What are your views.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

People of Pakistan have accepted the fact that they can never win back Kashmir from India.

Pakistan has so many problems of it's own that it can not handle another problem- like Kashmir.

Pakistan does not want Kashmir anymore.

What do you think. Is this true?

*Yoohee! if this is true, then there is no more problems between India & Pakistan!! *

Lets concentrate on trade, commerce, tourism, decrease the army expenditures, lower the number of soldiers, increase our social expenditure, infrastructure, increase education, health etc, etc .....

Theres a saying in Russian, apaey sawaal tey apaey jawaab!

You wish malhotra!

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

an independent kashmir - has been touted as a comprimise solution. it is an idea acceptable to both pakistan and kashmiris but not to india

so the question, malhot, is an independent kashmir acceptable to YOU?

No India No Pakistan...........just independence.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

I said that in all likelihood, Pakistan wouldn't invade and occupy an independent Kashmiri state.

Everything else is just malhot talking.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

Pakistanis do not have a problem with an independant Kashmir (I know I don't). How about you Malhot?

I have no problem with Kashmir being independent.

All I know is that malhot seems to hate Kashmiris and is also insecure about the fact that our GS Kashmiri, janab-e-ali, is a female.

An independent Kashmir is a happy Kashmir. :biggthumb

There are thousands of articles in the internet talking about the unfinished business of the Partion between India & Pakistan - Kashmir.

Why the Pak army has expanded at the expense of the Economy, health, education, why did we have 3 Indo-Pak wars, why there are so many Jihadi training camps in Pak, why is there a constant international demand to have a Plebiscite (voting to decide between India & Pakistan NOT independence) ???

Why does not Pakistan declare Azad Kashmir Independent and set an example for India to follow ??

“Angur Khate hy” - perhaps this best describes the Pakistani mentality.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

independent Kashmir, the only solution and fair outcome.

"Azad Kashmir" means "Independent Kashmir" boss..

I don't think he speaks the sikh language.

that being said. I too support an independent azad kashmir. I have never heard an indian say this. Malhot is the only one that hasn't answered his own question. He fails yet again.

Azad Kashmir means free Kashmir. AK has its own President, Prime Minister, Constitutive Assembley and has an agreement with Pakistan for defence currency and foreign affairs. IF they demand to be completeley independant, no one here will have a problem with it as is seen by the responses.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

Well seems to me like Most Pakistanis have no problem with Independent Kashmir, and as pointed out A.K. is already independent.

Can India do the same too? And i cross my fingers in hope that you'll have a straight answer and not dodge the question.

Maybe if Occupied Kashmir gets its independence, the sour relations can be revived and Pakistan and India can trade and focus on economy and commerce w/out there being any other (apparent) reason to hold grudges. :)

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

The Pakistani's on this GS thread, seem to be the educated living overseas types who have no objection to Kashmir not joining Pakistan - but who will explain this to the Pakistani masses & army.

Same is the case with an Kashmiri (educated & living abroad) on GS who talks of Independence for Kashmir, but if 'azad Kashmir' is free, then why does she not move on there.

Why live in misery, I would also welcome if she can take the other fanatics with her - perhaps then the hundreds of thousands of Hindus rotting in refugees camps can return to their homes.

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

I see you're throwing a tantrum now because you didn't get the responses you wanted.

For the last time, "Azad Jammu and Kashmir" isn't Kashmir.

It's so ironic...you pretend to have so much sympathy for the plight of the Pandits...and yet you seem to be in favor of expelling virtually all Kashmiri Muslims from their homeland (after all...most of us support independence...and therefore we must all be "fanatics" by your definition).

Re: An Independent Kashmir.

Independent Kashmir is the best option.
but will China return the portion it has if Kashmir becomes a separate nation someday? what if China invades it?
i know for sure, after independence, neither India nor Pakistan would try to invade it.
will an Independent Kashmir include Jammu and Ladakh?
will Pakistani and Indian citizens haveta have a visa to visit it?
will it have place for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits?

:hehe:
I share your thoughts. With all the nonsense they’re taught abt Pak in India, Malhot probably thought an independent kashmir is a big no-no for Pakistanis. A recent poll conducted found wide acceptance for this idea from general public in Pak – if only those who pose this question, the Indians, would agree.
