Yeah it’s a movie. But I am sorry. I hope he rots in hell for fomenting anti-pak sentiments among hindians. What if a great iraqi actor made a film where he calls americans *******s and infidels. How many americans do you think will post crying emoticon upon hearing that he is now rotting in hell.

are you serious? he’s an ACTOR, and actors take a wide variety of roles. i highly doubt Amrish Puri hated pakistan or pakistanis, and im pretty sure you agree. if by one if his ROLES, you were convinced he hated pakistanis…that just means he was a great actor and you are a sheep.

maker, actor, producer same ****. The bottom line is that he CHOSE to act in those films. We are a unique bunch. We have no shame lamenting the death of someone who calls us kuttays, shalays etc etc.

man u gotta be kidding.. whatever an actor says in a movie are not his personal thoughts or views on a topic.. for that matter, he spat a whole bunch of abuses on indians (like “hindustani kuttey”) in “gadar” so shud india revoke his citizenship??? grow up man.

awww bless him, he was my favourite all time gunda. i used to have nightmares about him as the bloke he played in Indiana Jones and then i loved him as Magambo…goodness, he was even in RamLakan, my first ever hindi movie experience. I loved him in DDLJ, i cried when he let Simran go…

I haven’t watched that film but I am guessing he acted as a paki in that movie. Am I correct. So he was portraying a paki hell bent on destroying bharat mata. If not than please excuse my ignorance. besides, he is bhindian. They perfectly understood that he was acting. However, when he portrays us in a bad light or calls us kuttays and whatnot, I take that to be highly offensive. Like I said, I don’t think amrish puri was held hostage and told to deliver those lines. He CHOSE to act in those films. So what other assumption am I to make.

but like i said. to each his own. Cry at his demise if you wish. But you won’t stop me from wishing hell upon the *******. Just like I can’t stop you guys from holding a 40 day traditional muslim mourning in his honour.

i really dont care about this guy or bollywood for that matter, i just find it hard to believe some people can harbor such hateful thoughts over relatively minor things.

b) a paki actor…or a paki actor playing a role in a MOVIE?

actors are paid to act and regurgitate a script. how many actors will turn down any role in a movie that might portray something or the other in a negative light?

To be honest with you, I haven’t watched ALL the anti-pak movies this guy made. Maybe “cow piss drinking monkey worshipper” is a bit extreme, however, check out his anti-pak films. All of them have some sort of anti-muslim or anti-paki dialogues. I am sure if those types of comments were made against indians it would cause anger among them. Maybe not you but I am talking about indian population in general. Maybe you can differentiate between an actor simply delivering a dialogue and someone who hates another country. But I can’t say that about your fellow countrymen. My mom is a bollywood freak. And one time she was watching a movie preview/review show in sony tv. They were asking opinions of people who just watched “maa tujhe saalam.” And the crowd was giving chants of “hindustan zindabad, pakistan murdabaad.” outside the cinema hall. Come on dude. You can’t seriously tell me after seeing that display that these movies don’t play with people’s emotions.

And if my knowledge serves me correctly. Couple of bollywood actors have already vowed not to act in anti-pak films. If they can show restraint from making hate filled films, I don’t see why amrish sahib couldn’t do the same.

brother when i said i ‘agree’ with atlanta i wasn’t refering to his rotting in hell comment. i’ll leave that upto allah to decide. i mean’t mr puri’s stance against pakistan during his 30 odd years in the industry, the films he signed and the character roles’ he accepted which directly or indirectly showed pakistan to be a {****** **} country.

a great loss to the industry indeed - I was scared of the guy when I was a kid, but his comedy and positive roles in the 90s' were really well done as well - he was a versatile actor.
