She looks better than she did on her engagement...that hair and heavy makeup was a nono. There wasn't much of a wow factor after seeing her wedding pictures because she wears a tonne of makeup on a daily basis anyway so everyone's used to seeing her like that. Not a big fan of her outfit but I like the headpiece. Otherwise she's attractive and they're a cute couple. She's moving to Bolton from New York, now THAT'S dedication.
I think she looks nice. What may seem Indian to some looks like typical 'British Asian Fashion' to me. I can tell she was going for a typical Asiana/Asian Bride cover bridal look and she pulled it off. At the end of the day these two are British Asians, not NRP Pakistani élites from Lahore/Karachi who would be concerned about wearing Bunto's/Elan/Maria B for sake of keeping up with the status quo.
I heard from someone in the Staten Island desi community that she would be wearing a Bunto outfit. Maybe she's wearing it for her walima? Or it could just be false information. Her make up is way to heavy for my liking but after looking at all her other pics she seems like wears heavy make up all the time..

I agree with you, Jolie, the Indian magazine cover look is just the norm over here. But just to correct, Faryal is not a British Asian, she's American. Not sure what look American 'Asians' go for?

They're having two weddings apparently. One in New York, and then one in the UK. Maybe she'll go for a different look in the UK wedding, hence she's wearing Bunto.

They've got a Valima in the UK on Sunday, the Valima should be featured in part 2 of the Hello magazine.
I like the overall look with both of them. They probably wanted it regal and they got it that way. Faryal's dress is really intricate and different and really suits her.
The blouse is short but I agree with some of the above posts, I have seen some Pakistani women wearing even shorter and much more revealing blouses than hers.
In appreciating their pics I just can't help noticing how skinny she is. (not criticizing, just saying)
I got my copy of the mag this morning, overall I liked her look, and styling. Here are some of the details from the magazine (and from what I’ve read elsewhere)
her main outfit was by Tarun Tahiliani
(I blogged about this back in Feb when she tweeted it, the same lehnga with a different top was featured in Tarun Tahiliani’s Indian Bridal Week collection in September last year - see more pics from that collection here)
his outfit was from “Janan” in Bradford - his friend’s shop
their first dance song was “Be Intehaan” from Race 2
I think Naeem Khan did her make-up again although this wasn’t mentioned in the mag

Anyway, I love her mehndi look.
Ahh okay. She's American, I had no idea. Not sure how popular Asiana trend is in USA, maybe our friends from US can tell us more about general trends in Asian fashion in America.
She looks pretty because she is very beautiful mA, but nothing special about her bridal look as this is the look British Asian brides carry. Poofy hair bees/kyles set green street lehngas.
This look is definitely not the norm for Asian/Desi American brides. She obviously wanted a different look and she achieved it. I think she looks nice.
Agree with Jolie, not everyone goes for the 'Pakistani style' these days. Probably 95% of my friends who have married have gone for a more 'Indian' look with the fitted short tops, and fishtail or fitted lenghas - it's not really indian, it's more british/modern fashion to them.
I did like her make-up, but wish it look less caked on. she has the face for it, and the make-up was done beautifully but still think it looks too heavy. Dress was nice, not what i would go for myself, but I think she pulled it off quite classily and she covered her stomach well
lol this made me laugh hehee - I seriously doubt her intention was to cover her stomach otherwise she would've just made a longer kameez lol! I do love her dupatta setting though
^ exactly. maybe she didn't want to be a typical "pakistani bride". don't you find all the brides on this forum are now blending into one another? same outfits, same colours, same hair/makeup/dupatta setting. same kind of kaam- either Bunto or a Bunto knock off. its formulaic and boring, even if it might be lovely.
enough already!
she went and got something that she loved, and she pulls it off relatively better than quite a few other brides i've seen on GS. her jewellery is restrained, the outfit isn't covered in little gold balls, and the colours suit her. the makeup is a wee bit piled on, at second glance, i'll admit, but it's not awful by any means. as for looking her age, dude, seriously. that's not even an argument when you talk about how much makeup pakistani brides wear. none of them look 21 on their wedding day!
I wonder why she choose an Indian Designer, Indian Wedding Planner it was her time to represent her background... She looks beautiful but as a Muslim I am disappointed she would even consider a lehnga choli for her outfit. I understand you want to be different but there is lots of variety even in India. This is not good for future muslim girls this is opening a door for new thoughts. I feel like she is confused or maybe I am just to backward. May god bless them!
