Desi designers are not my gig..

for non desi menswear well that depends, ranges from ozwald boateng and paul smith to simpler stuff like banana republic.

definitely deepak perwani, perfect fusion of contemprary and classic. amir adnan is overrated.

Amir Adnan, love his work but there are loads of small scale designers/shops that have excellent sherwanis.

Naushemian is pretty good, too.

Amir Adnan or HSY. I've never liked deepak perwani- women or menswear.

Definately HSY, I have bought some of his menswear - expensive but awesome
Ismail Farid is good in Karachi for shirts
Munib Nawaz has cool designs but really has a terrible work ethic
I saw some cool stuff from Imbias during Fashion Pakistan Week 2009 so I'm gonna order from them today

non-designer all the way pour moi! we went into amir adnan and a simple pagri/kula thingie was 24,000 rupees so you can imagine how expesive the entire sherwani would be! jeeeez.

Oh wow, I remember going to Amir Adnan like 7 years ago for my brothers wedding and his prices were so reasonable! I guess he got expensive too! Junaid Jamshed does nice menswear, ideal for like mehndis etc

Amir Adnan. I don't know HSY's menswear.

Hubby's shadi sherwani was really nice and from Amir Adnan. His brother (who is not into desi stuff at all) really liked it and designed a modified version to wear at his mehndi. Deepak Perwani was the only one willing to try it out. The sherwani was nice but the jamevar and kaam were flashier than the Amir Adnan one. AA's style is more understated and classy -- better for men, I think. But if you want something unique and innovative, AA is not the one to see.

FYI -- tho DP was very accommodating initially, they did not meet deadlines or communicate well as the process went on.

my brother and cousin's sherwanis were from Deepak Perwani. Sherwanis were really nice and well made but expensive..

Really don't like Deepak Perwani's style except perhaps a turquoise saree that he made ages ago.

Junaid Jamshed has pretty good mehndi/eid stuff as KP said.

I love sherwanis by Deepak. He has a black one that I have been drooling over since the past 4 years.

His women's collection is mediocre.
