I liked a few of Ayesha Varsey's sherwanis that she came up with some time ago. They were black and had work on the shoulders and collars.

I think that liking sherwanis can be a lot more subjective than picking bridal dresses, since the styles aren't so varied, each of us really look into the nuances. What do you look for in a nice sherwani?

the cut, for sure. i like the ones that are more fitted and sleek. i also prefer raw silk and italian suiting material to jamavar.
i also like different colours from black- navy blues, really dark green's that look almost black but with an added dimension, i'd love to see a groom in a deep charcoal grey and maybe even a darker richer brown.
i also prefer the same shades of shalwar and sherwani as opposed to the traditional black with ivory shalwars.
