Well it will be same as loving an American guy … the only difference is …you learn how to use a Lota

Hey one more thing
These things are hard to explain
For some it seems strange... to swallow
The frontier of our minds
Is the last place we find
But maybe the first place we should go

And you sure will need the Lota after some curry dishes!

lota or sorahi is a tool used mainly in mideast/pak and in muslim countries to clean ur organs which discharge feaces (dunno if its the right spelling). Basically it contains water and u use the water and ur left hand yes u heard it right ur left hand to clean ur dirty organs..here is the link u can see the picture of our beloved lota…

Btw curry is mostly used by Indians, as they are famous for being veggies. Pakistanis are not that keen on being much curry people. I had never heard of vindaloo in my life in pakistan and heard it from some brit saying to me vindaloo is hot! I guess this is true for most of my country people as well.

What do u mean by Italian and greek women. What about them??

I think its a wonderful thing that you will be marrying, whether he be pakistani or not.

Just look at Imran Khan, the famous cricketer who married a european woman. Many pakistanis are accepting of it, although some are not. Anyway, I dont believe your concern should lie in their acceptance of it or not, though the thought probably crosses the mind in some form or the other.

I have a friend who is Irish american and she married a Pakistani man and she was telling me that some pakistani women at parties for example, refuse to speak with her because they dont "accept" her. I hope if this or anything similar happens to you, you wont be discouraged about the choice you made. My friend and many others are very content in their marriages and have many friends.

In due time people tend to be very accepting. The ones that are not, are not for you to convince. Be happy. smile

P.S. Sorry if I went off on a tangent.

Learn to love yourself, then learn to love one-another

$12.99 for a friggin lota???

and its shipped the next day! What if someones in a rush?

Thanks munni for the encouragement, and yes im going to marry him.He beleives that his father will accept me,and mother will too once she gets to know me.
And your right, the ones who snub,or dont accept me,i will ignore. But im hoping all goes well,i get along with others.Say a prayer all goes well for me....thanks all..

Well chris_wazir, if its any encouragement, my dad's brother married an American woman during the 70s and she's totally accepted by all my family everywhere - both in the West and in Pakistan.

Thanku mad_ScIeNtIsT,it is of great encouragement.
I have been collecting different antiques, architectual designs, and always desired the clothing styles (worn by the the india women, and now seeing the pakistan styles i like them even more.)And the craving to learn another language has always been with me.I tried spanish and french and lost interest quickly, but as soon as i heard this language i want to absorb every word. Ever since i was a child, not knowing why..i had this interest in your culture. And truthfully, i didnt know of pakistan until i started speaking to my sweetheart.I choose to beleive it is and has always been my destiny.

Welcome to the tribe !
