American Pakistanis

If you were born and raised in US, it makes sense to marry someone from USA instead of marrying someone from Pakistan. But then why do Pakistani guys in USA still end up looking for a wife in Pakistan rather than USA (besides cousin marriage ;))? Just wondering.

Oh come on, quit the sarcasm. Every other day I see threads popping up saying I can’t find the right guy/girl yet it surprises you when people actually look for rishtas outside of their country of residence?

Sometimes, in the case of very narrow minded families, what you’re saying might be true. But most of the times, it is because these people have families in Pakistan and so tonnes of rishtas that they can trust. And PLENTY of desis marry guys/girls from their country of residence too… this importing of dulhas and dulhans is getting less frequent by the day… so chill, even though there’s nothing wrong with it. I could go look for my prince charming in the pyramids of Egypt, why does it matter?
