I don’t think we care entirely whose sons, and brothers they are. They are grown up enough to kill and maim, they are grown up enough to face the consequences. They ought to be hung, drawn and quartered…but knowing the US military, they’ll be lucky if they get a slap on the wrist.

I respectfully disagree. They have not been accused of killing and maiming - only of this act on the dead. The soldiers have a duty to perform. So I do not believe they should have to take undue punishment for just doing their duty.
