How much I hate or condemned the Taliban is my personal rights but USA marines are looks not different then them. What a shamfull act they did with dead bodies is far beyond of a human act. Shame on USA marines.
Even I don’t feel good to paste that YouTube video. They are so sick and mentally worst.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
When you are trained and commanded to take innocent lives day in and day out without any sort of just cause then you are bound to lose your sense of morality. Shame on the United States of America for undertaking these wars to satisfy their greed for material wealth and power. Shame on the puppets who partner USA and help USA and on the top of that list is many if not all of the head of the states of the so-called Muslim countries themselves.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
And how long will we wait before reading in the dailies that the king of a Muslim kingdom have presented president of the USA with a 3kg gold necklace for his services? And a Muslim university grants their foreign secretary a honorary doctorate? And another Muslim nation makes a largest ever arms deal with Lockheed Martin?
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
They are worse than animals actually animals even do not urinate on dead bodies.
They just united the mujahideen and increased the hatred for United States 1000 times over.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
There was a time...
And men till the ends of time will always yearn for, support and even die for...
Men who lead by example.
In war as in amny other aspects of life one has many choices, but if you want to be remembered in posterity as a great person almost revered to mythic status then you have to earn it.
True war is never a case of black and white, clear cut, good v evil.
However fighting men must always live up to a good example so that they can prove thier cause is greater. When you take a life, you kill part of the essence of your own life and you will never get that back.
Americans propagate this war as good v evil. Terrorists barbarians v Civilised peace loving people.
However the US Marines in this video have destroyed that notion entirely and lost any credibility of being a force for good. Its now Terrorist v Terrorist.
Both sides in this war have commited foul attrocities and the sadness of modern warfare is that no commander can change this without example... but few commanders really "lead" thier men in battle anymore.
The tactics of small unit warfare men any officer in command is often little more than a thug. Gone are the days of true "Gallant Gentlemen" now we just have brutes fighting on both sides.
Notice how theres more acts of criminality than heroism... on both sides of the fight.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
The sad part of it's the marines are so called more socialized now Waite Cent comming latter and light on USA position.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
I'm not too suprised to be honest.
I'd allready heard about the finger chopping and collecting body parts as trophies bit.
Now some guys refer to the Taliban as bearded apes... which as much as I hate the Taliban and am inclined to chuckle at that notion or as cave dwellers... what is the difference between cave dwelling Talibs and those who collect such gruesome trophies?
In fact those who come from civilisation you could argue are worse... why? This is just not me supporting the Taliban here I loathe those guys but I expect nothing better from Cave dwellers... its all they know right? They probably never even got an education and those Caves and AK's are all they ever learned...
But Mr US Marine left a good home, education and all the comforts of civiliation to get off on chopping fingers and desecrating the dead.... thats truly sick.
Theres no difference really anymore. The sooner this war is over the better.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
This is just not me supporting the Taliban here I loathe those guys but I expect nothing better from Cave dwellers... its all they know right?
this is the relevant point.
standards are vastly different for the americans and the taliban, as they should be. but let us not forget that they are different.
american desecration of bodies is peeing on them as a joke. taliban desecration of bodies is chopping off the head and stringing the headless corpse up on a pole in the center of a bazaar. the difference in standards is why the former is an outrage of the highest order and the latter is considered normal daily behavior.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
Taleban say talks with Americans to continue despite the video, if they are ok with that I think we shouldnt be that much concerned too.
**Taliban denounce ‘US Marines body desecration’ video
**Afghanistan’s Taliban has condemned a video that appears to show US Marines urinating on dead Taliban fighters.
A spokesman told the BBC: “It is not a human action, it’s a wild action that is too shameful for us to talk about.”
**But another Taliban spokesman said the video would not derail attempts at peace talks to end the war.
**
The US military is investigating the authenticity of the video and the Marine Corps said the actions were not consistent with its core values.
The footage shows four men in military fatigues appearing to urinate on three apparently lifeless men. They have brown skin, bare feet and are dressed in loose-fitting outfits. One appears to be covered in blood.
A man’s voice is heard saying: “Have a great day, buddy.”
The origin of the video is not known, nor is it clear who posted it online.
The men in military fatigues seem to be aware they are being filmed.
**‘Brutal act’
**Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi told the BBC that this was not the first time Americans had carried out such a “wild action” and that Taliban attacks on the Americans would continue.
A different Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the video “is not a political process, so the video will not harm our talks and prisoner exchange because they are at the preliminary stage”.
**Last week the Taliban said they were working to set up a political office, possibly in the Gulf state of Qatar, that could help jump-start peace talks with the Afghan government and its Western allies.
**
Washington has been considering releasing several Taliban prisoners from the Guantanamo Bay prison as a confidence-building measure, Associated Press news agency says.
Already, the video has stirred up anger in Afghanistan about the foreign military presence.
“The US soldiers who urinated on dead bodies of Muslims have committed a crime,” Feda Mohammad told Reuters in Kabul.
“Since they’ve committed such a crime, we don’t want them on our soil anymore.”
Afghan Member of Parliament Fawzia Kofi said ordinary Afghans, no matter how they felt about the Taliban, would be upset by the video.
“It’s a matter of a human being, respect to a human being,” she told the BBC.
"The actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps” US Marine Corps.
“I believe that the brutal acts that the Taliban did here during their government and even now is condemned by Afghans. So is watching a brutal act by international forces. We condemn that as well,” she added.
Investigation
The US military said it was “deeply troubled by the video”.
Pentagon spokesman Capt John Kirby said in a statement: “Whoever it is, and whatever the circumstances - which we know is under investigation - it is egregious behaviour and unacceptable for a member of the military.”
Marine Corps headquarters at the Pentagon said in a statement: "The actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps. This matter will be fully investigated.‘’
The Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said it “strongly condemns the actions depicted in the video, which appear to have been conducted by a small group of US individuals, who apparently are no longer serving in Afghanistan”.
In a separate case, the US military has been prosecuting five soldiers from the army’s 5th Stryker Brigade who are accused of killing Afghan civilians during their deployment in Kandahar province in 2010.
The US has about 20,000 Marines deployed in Afghanistan, based mostly in Kandahar and Helmand provinces. In total, about 90,000 US troops are on the ground in Afghanistan.
The US and its partners in Afghanistan have said they plan to hand over security of the country and withdraw combat troops by the end of 2014.

Taliban denounces ‘barbaric’ video, says will not affect talks
KABUL – **The Taliban on Thursday denounced as “barbaric” a video purporting to show U.S. servicemembers urinating on dead Taliban fighters in Afghanistan but said it would not have an impact on planned peace talks.
**
“This is a barbaric act. Over the past 10 years, there have been hundreds of similar cases that were not revealed,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahed was quoted as saying by AFP.
**The spokesman said the video would not affect planned peace talks with the U.S.
**
“I don’t think this new issue will affect negotiations, which at this stage are mainly about prisoner exchange,” he said.
The U.S. plans a major push next week to jump-start peace talks with the Taliban, senior Obama administration officials told The Wall Street Journal, amid the first concrete signs of progress toward a negotiated end to the 10-year war in Afghanistan.
The Taliban’s political wing is ready to enter talks, but the insurgents will in the meantime continue their armed struggle, the group said Thursday.
In the video, four men in Marine uniforms and combat gear are shown exposing their genitals and urinating on three dead bodies. One of the deceased has large blood stain on his chest.
The person who posted the video included a description that reads “scout sniper team 4 with 3rd battalion 2nd marines out of camp lejeune peeing on dead talibans.”
One of the servicemembers can be heard saying in the recording, “Have a great day, buddy.”
The Marine Corps said in a statement Wednesday that it “has recently been made aware of a video that portrays Marines urinating on what appear to be deceased members of the Taliban.”
“While we have not yet verified the origin or authenticity of this video, the actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps. This matter will be fully investigated,” the statement added.

Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
Please can people refrain from showing graphic images... those who wish to see such things can find it for themselves but lets not advertise it in any way OKay.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
Whatever they do Talk/fight this their stregties what is more come out in this case is that USA far behind to call them civilized PERIOD. Their war crimes list is countless and this kind of act shows actual face of rubbish army in the world. True barbarians.
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
The behavior depicted in the video does not represent or define the U.S. Armed Forces, and is not acceptable to us*.* ISAF and the US military strongly condemn the actions depicted in the video, which appear to have been conducted by a small group of U.S. individuals, who apparently are no longer serving in Afghanistan. This disrespectful act is inexplicable and not in keeping with the high moral standards we expect of coalition forces. Nevertheless, this behavior dishonors the sacrifices and core values of every service member representing the fifty nations of the coalition. Therefore, a United States Criminal Investigatory agency has launched an investigation. It will be thorough and any individuals with confirmed involvement will be held fully accountable.

its only the small percentage of what gets leaked out.............. if its only a few occasion that come to public knowledge.........doesn't mean it doesn't take place at a greater scale.......

CENTCOM seems like cyborg to me........
he barely answers anyone questions....:D
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
there is nothing wrong with criticizing bad behavior like this even though its a pretty minor offense.
but the problem is when the outrage is mostly a function of bias. it reveals a lack of credibility. how many of you were outraged when the taliban murdered najibullah and his brother, cut off their genitals, and hung their mutilated corpses from a traffic post?

The behavior depicted in the video does not represent or define the U.S. Armed Forces, [
But it is. Youtue and free media of other free countries (sorry, I dont think that USA media is free media. Its a very controlled media by different lobbyists) is full of images and stories where soldiers are posing with nude bodies of dead militants, chopping their fingers off to keep as souvenirs. using dead bodies for target practicing. And as someone said, these are not even few percent of what gets leaked. Unfortunately, this brutality and inhumane behavior is exactly what is defining US Armed forces.](“http://www.Centcom.mil/Ur”)
Re: American marines insulting dead bodies
Why do (west) media always doubt the authenticity of a video when its about thier soldiers who behave that way.
