I think part of the reason the desi accent sounds so bad is that they try to speak with a British accent, which is hard to do. America/Canadian accent is much easier.

Okay...I dont know any girls that speak in an accent no one understands...even the ones from Pakistan.

As funny as it may sound, thats actually pretty good advice. They're trained to speak English fluently and eventually their accent may die or fade considerably.

You should hit up the call centers with your matrimonial ad...distribute some flyers maybe...let them know you're available...even call in and figure out who sounds better to your ears.

if u want girls with a good accent...try checking some out from those educated at froebels international school,city school or beaconhouse...the "elite" schools based on O and Alevels system...i went to one of these myself..and the people who attend these schools reguarly take vacations to US/europe and have at times better english and manner of speaking than the natives even!good luck

Sbc911 amigo, could you post a voiceclip in the voice gallery reading let's say the first few pages of davinci code, that may help people understand the clean accent and help you point to places where you can find someone with a similar accent.

Alternatively, you can forget ISB and find a girl in US, she would have an American accent, but may then have similar concerns about colleagues chuckling.
