Re: Pakistan

never...i just have been to Karachi...i once planned to take the train from Lahore to Karachi and a side trip to Islamabad from Lahore. i don't think my visitor visa will allow me to do that. hope to do it someday...visit Swat, Murree, Skardu etc :)
Re: Pakistan
you said, you cant settle down in Isl, even if you want to, is it because of security concerns?
if you dont mind me asking, are you half Pakistani? because somewhere you had mentioned half of your khandaan is in Pakistan!
northern Pakistan is indeed very beautiful! once in my lifetime I would surely visit atleast half of these places mentioned in this thread!!

no no...by Khaandaan, i meant my grandfather's extended family...my immidiate family never migrated to Pakistan. there are tons of my dad's cousins in Pakistan now. since i'm of Indian origin, and given Pakistan's security situation, i don't think Pakistan will ever give me a visitor visa to travel extensively in Pakistan. they usually give visa to where your relatives are...which is basically Karachi. i've no complains because India does the same. they give visa to relatives only to travel to a maximum of 2 cities in India.
i hope the relations will improve soon and we'll be able to travel freely in each others country. inshaa Allah! :)
Re: Pakistan
oh achhaa! well things have improved since last few years, PAK-IND just signed a new visa regime, so InshaAllah this would further allow citizens from both countries to roam around with less restrictions! :)
