who here wud agree wid me that mac is the most overratted brand ever??
i mean its ok , but with that price one can get a lotta equally good stuff or may be even better.

i don't agree. i think they have good variety of products n the prices r fair. And if u have 2get the same quality of the stuff at the same price with some other brand then y not mac? and kindly tell me which brand at the same price provides better quality?

i think mac is the best brand for cosmetics..love their eye shadows easily blendable superb colour..their mineralize skin finish natural is the bestttttttttttt product ..i dont think some one beat these products..

mac is gud for eyeshadows and for foundations other then that i wouldnt go out buy anything else solely cos its mac

agreed. I think its highly over-rated. When I initially started wearing makeup, I looked only into mac, and soon I realized that's not what I want, i just feel its too cakey/drying for my skin ( the foundations i.e.). The eye shadows are definitely the best IMO, the rest I am not really sure about.

MAC products ARE expensive here in Pak. So I do understand how do you feel about all the threads here ;)
If that makes you happier, I don't own any MAC products either :p I have one mascara and a foundation, and I have it coz somebody gave these to me as a present :D

me too. i am always surprised when i read all the mac cosmetict mentioned here.because when i google it,i get to know how expensive they are.i always buy drugstore make up.and i love it.but mac products would be nice too ;)
well it depends on what u consider to be expensive. it’s all relative. i consider their foundations/powders to be very reasonably priced and have no problem dropping ££ for it yet i’m not happy paying the prices for their make up brushes. i use brushes from another company instead because i think MAC prices are quite high for make up tools… or maybe im just being cheap lol i need to get a job

I also have no problem buying foundation/powders… and even eyeshadows… but their makeup tools are another story…

Do you live in America? You can get it cheaper at outlet places. I bought a set of MAC brushes for my sister for $18 thats like nowt considering I bought mine from the U.K for £45.
Their eye shadows are amazing wonderful to apply and the intensity of the colour is what makes you buy more of them.
I have 2 new MAC eyeshadows that I made my uncle go all the way to NYC (ok so he was already there, but he wasnt there to go to Macy's) to buy for me and I havnt even had the chance to wear them yet. :(
Might have a tranny day tomorrow and apply some make up.

ive found benefits velvet eye shadows n creaseless creams a lot better in application n endurance than mac s, also revlon s foundations r good, dior s ultra smooth high impact shadows r better than any eye shadow from mac.
its totaly my personal exp not everyone has to agree with me, i just feel that mac is good but highly overrated. i never said its over priced for the quality they give , but its definately overrated. i just fail to understand all that fuss about mac products thats it.
