To the original poster: yes guys can talk that way when they are with friends. Don't take it personally. I know it must have hurt, but like others have said, if he treats you with respect and care, that is much more important. Also, on the flip side, have you had any conversations about him or his family with someone close to you? How would you feel if he heard some of the things said in those conversations? They may have been a way for you to vent; but if he heard something like that, then he would take it the wrong way; just like you have when overhearing this conversation.

on the other hand my in laws in canada are so shareef…never even heard a swear word out of them :slight_smile:
