If anything, it's a collective lack of "morals": all components of the industry lack morals, if one is said to. Like you said, if there is a demand for immorality, there will be a supply of immorality.
The rest makes sense. I don't sympathize with them anymore than I sympathize with the average person.

However a married man being 'addicted' to porn or watching it too frequently porn indicates that there is a problem with his sex life.

True, since sex is considered dirty in our culture though it has changed for the foreign born desis and I guess also increasingly for peeps back home.
Unless it is an addiction, then various levels of porn are everywhere in society. I mean look at many western movies and music videos, as I am assuming that the majority of desis have become normalized to the display of flesh in the summer time.
p..s Just because someone watches or watched porn does not mean they have questionable characters.
Obviously. Questionable character is something entirely different. I admit watching porn means throwing Islamic morality to the wind but it certainly doesn't equate to questionable characters!

He didn't get to where he is without being pervy!

I agree with spock here. I know a person in his 50s, family man, very respectable and religious who was my colleague. We had a conference coming where he was offered sponsorship for travel and presentation but he was reluctant. I was astonished as to why he is not going, when i pressed him to go he said, he will go if one us agrees to stay with him in the room, because if he is alone he will could not stop himself from watching porn.
