Salam.

I have some concerns about a situation between my older cousin and I. I am 17 years old and my female cousin is 27.

My cousin asked me to rubb her feet one day after she came back from work. She was really tired and asked if i can do her a favor.

I didn’t know what to disrespect her or anything so i did it .Knowing that shes my older cousin, i was not shy to do so. If it was a younger cousin of my, then it might feel awkward. She was older and someone i looked up to , so i was comfortable with it.

please, this was done only for her relief and to have her feel comfortable from her pain.

So, considering the circumstances, is this allowed islamically?

If you're a guy...which I am not sure about from your initial post...then there is something wrong with it Islamically speaking only.

Culturally, if you're part of a liberal household, it MIGHT fly but not really.

Overall, the entire scenario is very uncomfortable and doesnt seem right.

Bottomline is: Islamically speaking...you cannot do it again.

What is YOUR gender by the way? If you're a male.........then from the Islamic point of view........it's inappropriate.

If you're a female........there's no problem in giving your older cousin a massage.

Let me make myself clearer for Punching Monk and others who share his…“clean”…mentality.

There’s nothing wrong in a female cousin giving her older FEMALE cousin a foot massage…provided that it is done with clean intentions.

Kids oh Kids.. I don't think there is anything wrong with this. Don't tell me no one in your family.. i mean an adult in your family have said "beta mera sar daba do.. " Its very common when adults ask the kids to give them a massage. You shouldn't feel weird.
