No man.. i have not made up my mind that ALL religious reasonings are incorrect.. I look at each independently..what makes sense makes sense.. what doesnt.. just doesnt.. I dont try to defend it only because I want to defend it (which most religious people do)...

Yes you are racist. Islam doesnt tell us to marry a guy who has the same colour as you. It tells us that as long as the person is Muslim or is able to convert to Muslim he can get married in a muslim family.
What you said there, came from tradition. Back in the days there were differences between browns also. And there were casts differences and they wouldnt marry each other. Later on there were colour differences, and they are still up on that.
I think what you're saying, and i'm being blunt here, is what most if not all Asian people think or atleast have thought at point or another.

^even in my own race...I would look at the person's personality and if I know him well enough to make the relation with him. Its nothing personal but there many cases that went wrong after the merriage. So before giving away my daughter or son. I'd be really really in to the guy and dig him inside out if my child isnt listening. And if the person is non muslim, I'll put a condition on him to be a muslim.
Same goes for outside my race.

You can invoke religion to defend this racism but it's still prejudiced. At the end of the day you are discriminating against somebody based on their caste faith race gender etc etc.
