Not everyone has the same attachment to their ‘mother tongue.’ Obviously it would be nice if my kids spoke my parents languages but I’m not so bothered that it would stop me inviting ‘outsiders’ into my family.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind one bit if my (future) kids married black Muslims.. sitting at the dining table would be like being at the UN
