Bhai Sahab, there are at least half a dozen Bollywood songs picturized in rain, where hero/heroine are singing about bheegi rut. They are obviously referring to the current weather, and not the full season. Aap phenka phaanki se perhaiz kiya karain

i don’t think so, TLK…barkha rut = rainy season…you may consult a dictionary.

btw, Bollywood lyrics can’t be a standard to judge the nuances of the language. they are too inferior and often devoid of grammars/linguistic finesse. they are not considered literary pieces.
