Many educated members believe this.....however, how many progressive thinkers remain in the party?
It appears that the majority are mainly of the mafia/mob mentality now.

That is not true. Perception cannot replace facts. People like Farooq Sattar, Hadier Abbas Rizvi , even Khush Baksh Shujaat are pretty sensible people.

Their leadership (or the presence of it in them) is overshadowed by Altaf bhai. Once he is out of the picture, these folks can shine. Take an example of any corporation and see what the change of leadership does to that company. Apple (when Steve Jobs came back) is one example, Ford (with Allan Mullaly taking over) is another.

Ok, fair enough. Lets replace Rizvi with Jaleel. Point is that we do have few sane people in MQM and one sane leader is good enough.

I'm against everyone who is involved in bad politics and biased policies. I'm not totally against any party. If that was the scene, I didn't agree to two out of three MQM persons listed by you. You can find my posts again PPP leadership and their attitude for ignoring their ppl.

What do you mean by Kunjray Kasai? Why Laaloo Khait is that Badnaam. I personally know very well educated persons from Laalu Khait.

You are right, There are many good people there.
The People of Karachi are very good in nature.
They love Pakistan even more than others. They were pushed to the ethnicity and racism by establishment by using their puppets and their old tools of Alshams and Albadar.

Captain Sahib, in another thread opened by Yazdi, shows that these guys are getting training in India for target killings and creating chaos in Karachi. ZM is right when he blames this party working for breaking of Pakistan. According to constitution of Pakistan any party involves in subversive activity should be banned. AH ke istefa se koi faraq nahin parhayga.

Zardari may be corrupt, stupid of highest order (not according to Javed Hashmi:)) may adversely affect PPP in the next elections, but he is definitely not involved in terrorist or subversive activities. There is a marked difference.
