The government has refused to launch cases against the sharifs and then they will keep on dancing that the courts are biased. It's all the dirty game of interest based political manoeuvring, looto aur lootnay do.
More like an election strategy. Perhaps PPP does not want to involve in any kind of 'eye for an eye' politics because of Zardari's mantra of reconciliation and coming elections. Those who took money from ISI against PPP, some of them are now allies of PPP. Going only against N$ is not a an intelligent move.

Those who think that Zardari is in the UK just to visit Malala are very naive
Who knows if there is already a secret deal/arrangement between the two governments (dating back many years) guaranteeing the safety of AH and Zardari is mainly here to get reassurances on that from the British government

A person that cannot go back to his own country for fear that he will be killed, a person that cannot go to any other country and setup his network there (there was talk of shifting the MQM HQ to Dubai but it fizzled out), a person whose party is a part of the government and has been for many years, a person whose party has a stranglehold on the largest city of Pakistan, a person who has no option but to take dictation from you and serve your purpose would make a prime recruit for a foreign secret service, most intelligence agencies would do anything to get their hands on such a prized bird whether it mean't buying him or blackmailing him. However he may have served his purpose and his utility may be coming to an end. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future. At some stage they would need to find a successor to him rather than to face the splintering of the MQM in the future, it maybe better to take care of these things soon rather than leave them to the last minute.

It is more than fact that the alleged killers and their local boss was arrested in Pakistan but they are now missing ones . There is a reference in this thread about a court case but there is no clue after that . I am very sure that custody of those people were with federal government officials but later they gone to some other hands . Altaf is under pressure of many due to his own crimes but he is not alone responsible .People behind these acts are more responsible .
