I guess justice is more important to the British courts and law enforcement even if it comes at the cost of their agent who has been an excellent tool for destabilizing Karachi, the backbone of Pakistan. Their courts work and I am hopeful that they will not let the culprit go free.
Both murderers belonged to mqm, the planer of the murder also belonged to mqm. I wonder if investigations could lead to pir ah of landan sharif, which is not a good news for mqm.

Mirza to contact Scotland Yard against MQM and its leader](Redirect Notice)
Imran Khan said yesterday that he has handed over proves to to
Scotland Yard (Nawai waqt) ,
Remenber he has tried twice this year to make an alliance with MQM.
I would say whoever killed Imran Farooq must be punished. It would be great if "Altaf of PPP" turns out to be the killer. This way MQM will have a chance of second life.
who said altaf killed or got killed farooq ? any confession from murderer or conspirator or co conspirator ? any link ?
Page one of this thread is telling all . This thread is providing sufficient discussion on the issue.
This time Altaf is not in position to use his usual tactics of blood shade and spreading ethnic hating.
Altaf is sole responsible for spreading ethnic hating in Pakistan's most cultured and learned people who loved Pakistan more than anyone else. This could be an end of a regime but people of Karachi should have select some national party or group for the better future of Karachi and Pakistan.
Pakistan is in need of some good people with some character .
wasnt altaf behind this??? ... how come he escapes all the time! :(
Even if Altaf was behind this, I dont think he will be convicted (this would be only one of the several other killings which have been attributed to him and MQM over the years). People's party will bail him out, after all we have this reconciliation going on (NRO).

You are right, They are trying to use this all but the story has given more clues to Scotland Yard and our establishment is unbelievable.
It is time for them to get rid from Altaf and make some new tools ,less powerful . They will not care for wishes of their weak partners .
Its amazing how Rehman Malik just denied the arrests of two people even after Scotland yard confirmed it. Poori qaum ko chay samajh rakha hai Malik sb ne. :)

Why only IF's murder, what about tons of other murders, aren't he and his cronies responsible of henious crimes? Once AH is gone from seen, mqm will automatically vanish and come back in to different format. Keeping its old identity given by its founder will never work.

Your wish might just be granted. And if it happens then MQM alone won't just be the loser. It will be PPP too. Zardari is not trying to please Altaf for nothing. It knows how precarious PPP govt is in Islamabad.
And if Karachiites stop voting for MQM then I can bet that their next choice won't be PPP.
So PPP will lose as well if MQM goes away and Altaf goes behind bars.
PPP can not have the cake and eat it too.
PPP should be thankful to have a sycophant like Altaf still winning and supporting them.
Interestingly, on google news, none of the UK papers are mentioning any such arrest despite the news article originally linked stating that "The Police Commissioner has been quoted by a London-based newspaper stating that the killers would not be allowed to roam freely on the streets of London."
Rehman Malik may be right - this might be another case of the Pakistani press making up news.
