that bihari liaqat started this policy of divide and rule. He sowed the seeds of hatred. You ask our elders and they'll tell you all Liaqat wanted to see was Pakistan become one big Lucknow. There's not an element of doubt that mahajirs fooled the locals after arriving and looted the land, jobs, position, money. They were far educated than the locals and they made use of that to benefit and acquire positions. Liaqat's successor- Altaf tried hard to undo partition but was unsuccessful because of his weight.

although Liaquat ali khans policies at that time were biased and right he was leaned more towards migrants no doubt but this doesnt mean migrants plundered the country, i being from the province where they are in most and i still see most of them in state as any other community i must say local, still majority of them live in downtown and undeveloped areas and are on jobs mostly.
they were educated it wasnt their fault but we were uneducated that was our fault.
go to any posh area of Karachi most of the bungalows you find would be of 1) People originally from punjab, then sindhis then so called mohajirs (i dont think they aremohajirs anymore) .
i am perfectly against policies of MQM and frankly i can say with confidence if you do a fair election in Karachi they would loose more than half they have now, thanks to musharraf they are in.
