A few decades ago, there were slogans on Karachi’s walls “Sindhi Mohajer bhai bhai yeh Punjabi kidhar say aayi”? I am talking of Hyderabad. Later we saw the animosity between Sindhis and Urdu Speaking people (here I am talking in the context of PPP and MQM, considering MQM as the sole representative of Urdu speaking people), and then we saw the killing of Pakhtuns (after 2007). In all of these events the constant that I see is MQM, what do you think?

I'm not a big of fan Altaf Hussain myself nor I support their violent politics and bhatta khori etc but I support their stance for equal rights for Urdu speakers. I don't believe on hatred between different ethnicities and even in MQM you see people from every corner of Pakistan and biggest example you can find when MQM at it's peak during Musharraf rule and never tried and forced people of different communities to leave who're living in Karachi specifically in suburbs even they had a reason because 90% of street crimes, robberies in Karachi carried out by non karachiites who solely come to Karachi to make short cut money. I agree with your comment and same Hasan Nisar made that let the Karachi ruled by who's in majority and if you try to cut down their power and steal their vote by force it will always chaos.
MQM never forced anyone out of Karachi? Okay... for a weird reason lots of industries moved out of Karachi, lots of Punjabis I know moved back to Punjab... lots of Pathans were killed on many occasions. It is unfortunate that there aren't many economic opportunities in most of Pakistan, mostly in big cities, otherwise nobody would be leaving their home cities.

Exactly. PPP/JSQM want people to stay dependent on feudals, MQM wants to stay as the "only choice" for "Urdu speaking" by cornering them via confrontational politics with rest of country.

I already said above that I don't support their violent politics and am I projecting perceived injustices,really? Have you ever lived in Karachi and experienced anything personally? I hope not but I did and have real life examples in my relatives.
Yeah i haven't, hence i can think by my own mind instead of being fed MQM propaganda. We have discussed these perceived injustices propagated by MQM and debunked them on this forum many times, i dont have to repeat the same things over and over again.

That was the first ethnic party created by Ayub Khan in the sixties against Sindhis. Nawab Muzzafar was the founding member of this party. Later Zia-ul-Haq created MQM and in reaction, Punjabi Pukhtoon Itehad was created. These shameful characters have died long time ago, but curse of their rule is still lingering on.

No you are wrong here. Nationalization was key agenda for Bhutto to win 1970 elections and he implemented what he promised. That nationalization policy continued till Zia smoked out in mid air. Tell me how this affected Urdu speaking people? Were you born then? Quota System already existed before Bhutto came into power. It was Liaqat Ali Khan who introduced quota system in the fifties for Urdu speaking. Read the history of quota system. It continued till today it has dick effect on competent people whether Sindhis or non-Sindhis. This system exists all over the world in one way or the other for less representation or for people who have less opportunity of jobs due to lack of educational facilities at par with developed areas.
What's wrong Sindhi language being declared as official language of Sindh? Unless you hate Sindhi language, you shouldn't have any reason to complain about it. You learned languages of the world, what's wrong if your learn language of your own country. I learned Punjabi and spoke fluently when I was posted in different cities of Punjab, what's wrong with it?
Obviously I was not born so the posters also but speak confidently about those times so am I through what I read and heard.
Nationalization brought many businesses run by Urdu speaking under govt badge and then the quota system and yes I agree that it was implied by Liaquat Ali Khan and enjoyed by both migrants and Punjabi's except Sindhis and then ZAB increased the qouta for local Sindhis which was a fair decision but reduced the seats for migrants along with applied Sindhi official language, so all these events together arouse resentment among Urdu speakings. Qouta system never meant to be the permanent solution to provide jobs to people of rural areas but to educate them and what's happening now is a matric pass who has contacts in govt and have a domicile of interior Sindh will be preferred over a karachiite who's much more educated. How many non Sindhis you find nowadays sitting at executive positions in govt institutions? Just a handful of them, right, so is it fair comparing the Urdu speaking population?
It's not about hatred to Sindhi language but why would one learn if you don't need to. Same like my friend who's a Punjabi but born and bred in Karachi don't know how to speak Punjabi but my other friend's father who's a an Urdu speaking but born and brought up in interior Sindh before moving to Karachi is fluent in Sindhi but not his kids. So it all depends on the need of language not the hatred.

It's because who else comes in power other than MQM try to take control of Karachi forcefully and it always lead to violence. What happened after 2007 in 2008 when PPP came into used ANP and later Lyari crminials to take down MQM and then there were casualties on both side. But how many killings you saw during 2001 and 2007 when MQM at it's peak?

Calling for division of province or new provinces is not a crime. However, with Altaf Hussain's track record of hatred and confrontation, this is not something positive. I mean who threatens to break a country etc? and why rap about Mohajir Mohajir...
Provinces based on administrative basis are required but not on ethnic basis and not on hatred. AH just wants to stick to his stronghold cuz he can see writing on the wall in terms of SLY.
