You told the story the opposite way. It was ZAB who brought Nationalization, Sindhi as on official language and Qouta system which favoured Sindhis only and his racist brother Mumtaz Bhutto taking advantage of his position and power ignited the spark between two ethnicities which led to massacre of Urdu Speaking second time after the creation of Pakistan. Though Altaf Hussain lost his track now but I still support the ideology on which MQM was created. Read this article and same reasons are mentioned as told by my elders which led to creation of MQM. Sorry to say but the seed of hatred which is planted between Sindi-Urdu Speaking, Punjabi-Urdu speaking, Pathans-Urdu Speaking has developed the roots strong enough difficult to cut off now.

We still love and care each others there are few elements which are strong enough to creating an atmosphere to not MQM gaining national support and the tactics are seeding hates among Urdu speaking vs other nationals. The current row is PTI trying to control Karachi and they using all cards which helping them with association by JI and other outfit baned parties. As for Sindh PPP as usual playing dirty poltics to remain in power.

The statement I made is restrict to politics only. I hope you would understand. I myself and my father have really good friends of other ethnicity, some of them are closer than our own urdu speaking. I will vote for PPP, PML N and every other party if they'll promise to give equality to every Pakistani regardless of their ethnicity. Bro my late uncle was die hard worker of PPP who wrote speeches for BB and went to jail in Zia's era just because he's mad after ZAB, so there is no hatred between common people except few cases which I personally experienced of hatred against Karachi and Urdu speaking which really confuses me sometimes.
The thing is if you try to apply to any Govt job the first they'll consider where your domicile is from(should be from interior Sindh) and then how strong you source(contact) is, honestly tell me how do you feel at that moment? I know couple of close relatives who really faced the discrimination working in govt institution in Karachi and one of them left the job and moved to Canada.

Even I'm not a migrated Urdu speaker but I spend a good time with them in Karachi and understand what actyllully they looking for when they see Four other brothers have! If other four are so proud about their ethentic why not them, they migrated here and largely in Sindh and used by waderras choudhries religious parties to just fullfil their poltical agendas and no postive work for Urdu speakers.
That's why MQM get support in large scale in Karachi and Hyderabad poltics. The start was violent coz no one other BIGs digest this new born party and till day, as you said YES MQM wale was Jiyale JI or pmln supporters before and stop it coz MQM bring a strong voice for their rights. The AH current demand is nothing new I strongly in favor of Karachi ruled by karachiets not by an interior wadera.

I'm not a big of fan Altaf Hussain myself nor I support their violent politics and bhatta khori etc but I support their stance for equal rights for Urdu speakers. I don't believe on hatred between different ethnicities and even in MQM you see people from every corner of Pakistan and biggest example you can find when MQM at it's peak during Musharraf rule and never tried and forced people of different communities to leave who're living in Karachi specifically in suburbs even they had a reason because 90% of street crimes, robberies in Karachi carried out by non karachiites who solely come to Karachi to make short cut money. I agree with your comment and same Hasan Nisar made that let the Karachi ruled by who's in majority and if you try to cut down their power and steal their vote by force it will always chaos.

I already said above that I don't support their violent politics and am I projecting perceived injustices,really? Have you ever lived in Karachi and experienced anything personally? I hope not but I did and have real life examples in my relatives.

No you are wrong here. Nationalization was key agenda for Bhutto to win 1970 elections and he implemented what he promised. That nationalization policy continued till Zia smoked out in mid air. Tell me how this affected Urdu speaking people? Were you born then? Quota System already existed before Bhutto came into power. It was Liaqat Ali Khan who introduced quota system in the fifties for Urdu speaking. Read the history of quota system. It continued till today it has dick effect on competent people whether Sindhis or non-Sindhis. This system exists all over the world in one way or the other for less representation or for people who have less opportunity of jobs due to lack of educational facilities at par with developed areas.
What's wrong Sindhi language being declared as official language of Sindh? Unless you hate Sindhi language, you shouldn't have any reason to complain about it. You learned languages of the world, what's wrong if your learn language of your own country. I learned Punjabi and spoke fluently when I was posted in different cities of Punjab, what's wrong with it?
