Hearing what he had to say today, can we claim that Altaf Hussain is on verge of announcing an movement for independence of urban Sindh. He has taunted Indians for not doing enough to save mqm, and called upon NATO to intervene. Then he had talked of the world changing and about greater Baluchistan, Pashtunistan and Punjab. He has also claimed that considering the population of Karachi, there are many countries in the world of that size/population. I personally think that his speech speeches create more problems for his party members/coordination committee within the country. It’s easier for him to say what ever he wants from a safe distance.

It's mind-boggling as to how normal citizens in Karachi support him. I've seen a couple of posts on FB and other social media against Altaf Hussain and ppl respond in hordes and waves of "Jiay Altaf" and "jiay mohajir". I don't get it... don't they see his stupidity?! He hasn't stepped foot in Pakistan in 30yrs...of his own accord. He can come back any time. But he doesn't. What loyalties could this man possibly have?!?!
He openly declares his intentions against Pakistan. He is 100% anti-Pakistan, yet he still has support of everyday civilians. Why?!

Its very clear MQM is playing for someone to derail the Pak-Chi eco corridor while army trying to fix them up (though with excesses, but given that they judiciary is bikao/phatoo they don't see much choice).

Ever since rangers started operation in Karachi target killers have disappear. The business community and ordinary citizens are happy with work rangers are doing. They have gone after everyone including PPP and ANP. Why is MQM making so much noise?
As for AH's BS I wish Pakistani govt would pro actively help British authorities in finding killers of Imran Farooq & hopefully lock him up for good.

With the passage of time it now doesn't even matter what altaf hussain says. He has lost whatever credibility he might have had at some stage. Obviously the coordination committee is saying that his speech was taken out of context.

To an extent, the operation has resulted in fleeing of criminals of all corners including that of MQM. But MQM as a “political” party has suffered most, probably that is why they cry most.
