Also due to the fact that PTI has forgotten about Sindh / Karachi. They want federal power and the path goes through Punjab.
I guess Sindh has been written off. It is pre-1971 situation again with Punjab alone being east pakistan, though east pakistan was never given power due to this factor.

BTW ... a conspiracy kinda theory , Once Pakistan was considered a nearly failed state... International Powers were considering to secure the control corridor from Gawadar to Karachi ... MQM and their supporters were willing to go to that lengh ... remember his letter to British PM ... offering his services of all kind ... from political support to reconnaissance and espionage for them ... why MQM ers in particular and Urdu Speakers in general go along that...!!

Pakistan was broken recently 1971] ..then there was this Iranian revolution [1979] .and Zia's overtake of 1977 ...the most Important factor ... ..followed by Russian Invasion [1989] ...and the flux of population shift was borne mostly by Karachi .. iranian did no hold long...but Afghan ...and people from East Pakistan stayed ... Karachi was over burdened... and breaking at the rims.. situation was ripe to exploit this unrest... Britian was to loose Hong Kong in 1997 ... they found a Polity in search of its land... who was living in an isolated coccon for more then 40 years ... honestly tell me how many Karachite knew anything about Sindh or Sindhis ...forget other Provinces and ethnicities ... even after living 40 years among them ] ..... and Karachi was too important a place to be left alone... its a Control point... any one who controls Karachi ... controls .. Middle East, Iran , Central Asia , ..and South East ... including india .. so dice was thrown ...... fortunately or unfortunatley Chinese were too clever.... they after negotiations defered the Hong Kong question for another 50 years... and now MQM is in a Limbo ... they tried to give them Power .. Musharraf'e ERA] ... but Khoon ka chaska lag chuka thaa in key Munh koo..... Karachi has been bleeding since 84-86 since the formation of MQM ... they had Powerful international sponsors to back them then ...at one time ... the death toll of killings in Karachi reached around 20 plus per day ... and that remained so for years... the situation could not be sustained for long... so one by one... the international sponsors are chickening out .... also international situation viz a viz the Afghan War has changed drastically , so much for the Great Game part 3, also China enters the picture big time... so the tide of support for them has receded ... and this has hurt them the most...
AH ... still want Bloodshed .his whole Politics is based on bloodshed ...and the use of FEAR , FEAR for survival of his supporters .... so this madness is not without a plan... wait till it unfolds further...
...and on the other hand.... after their sponsors have taken their hand back... they are now dismantling their creation ... and trying to do that with minimum collateral damage .. so like i have said ...in some other post sometime ago... this process will contiune for another 2-3 years at most...
Its time MQM supporter think and think hard... for they have to make hard choces now... which I don't see them even contemplating.. Period.

As far as sindhis go, karachiites know more about them than any upper country folks who come on quota and their ghar is still punjab after 20 years.

he is NOT dyslexic for sure...haven't you noticed that, on Pakistani media, they used these so called Urdunized words this way...i have heard sooooo many folks on TV say sa-chool, sapray, satik etc for school, spray stick etc.

He has done many dealings with India that have not become public, and he must have thought his latest deals with India would be secret as well.

Simple, if it is not detected/caught it reaches their masters, if it is caught and exposed they will say its conspiracy against MQM and that letter is fake.

My personal opinion is that previously the government used to carry out operations and as a result the party used to get sympathy. This time they have done something which hurts more, plug the money trail. Hence altaf is crying and committing blunders after blunder. It's becoming difficult even for the party's supporters to blindly agree with what he is saying, hence the rants about the rabita committee

and about the so called 1992 Operation ... it was left half way ... Katchi handi uttar lee gayee thee.... is liyee salan kharab hoo geyaa...
had it been led to it natural completion ... things would have been different and much much better...
