Geographically speaking, Hindustan i.e., India is a country. People living in that country are all HINDI. If Allama passed away before Pakistan came into existance than he was a HINDI. No doubt he gave the vision of Pakistan, and without that we wouldnt even be calling ourselves Pakistanis right now.

As far as your idea is concerned that everyone living in Hindustan is a Hindu thus a kaafir, that doesnt apply here. Well, what do you mean by Pakistan? Paak logon ki sarzameen? right? Do you think everyone living in Pakistan is Paak, in true sense? i guess not.

Allama Iqbal is a Pakistani is the sense that it was his vision of a Muslim state that led to the creation of Pakistan. If you think about it, the word "Pakistani" wouldn't exist without him. That's why he's Pakistani in a way, but of course he was Indian as matter of historical fact.

how much time do we need now? Come’on, it has already been 60 yrs now. This nation needs serious revolution to make them progress in the world, otherwise, yahan to away ka awa hi bigra hooa hai.
Dont get me started on the corruption and fraud cases in Pakistan. There are a FEW, I repeat, few people in Pakistan who are really sincere to the country. Believe it or not, everyone is looking for shortcuts there. No matter how good citizens they are, becuase this is how things work there. Whether you like it or not.

Ofcourse, we do love our contry, but no one is really doing anything to contribute to the country itself. I am a patriotic Pakistani myself, but keeping your eyes shut doest solve anything.

However, the debate was about Allama Iqbal… Carry on!!!

i wonder what does the word 'hindi' mean to you.

no person can be described as being 'a hindi.' hindi is a language.

it can either be, 'hindi speaking' or 'hindustani.'

in this case, 'hindustani muslim.'

'hindi' does not mean indian. 'hind' means india - hindustani is indian.

I am not 9 yr old! Every nation needs some time and remember we were marred with ethnic strife and mindless violence at the time of creation.. in the last 4 years I havent seen likes of Abdul Sattar Edhi but I have seen hope as you pointed out.. there are FEW cases.. ppl are coming to terms with education, discipline.. Whoever he may be either a indian,pakistani,bangladeshi, he is recognised as a great poet and his song Sare Jahan Se Achcha en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saare_Jahan_Se_Achcha sung by every kid in india in their school days, that is the great of him and has a status of national song
