Allah (SWT) did not create this world for Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Re: Allah (SWT) did not create this world for Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

@ MesmeriZeD

thanx for the advise brother, but since you were toltely unbaised in interpreting the ayah, would you please tell me how to do this.

here’s another ayah from Quran supporting my claim and my belief about the Prophet Mohammed (saww)

005.015**YUSUFALI:O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book, - **
PICKTHAL: O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger come unto you, expounding unto you much of that which ye used to hide in the Scripture, and forgiving much. now hath come unto you light from Allah and plain Scripture,
SHAKIR: O followers of the Book! indeed Our Messenger has come to you making clear to you much of what you concealed of the Book and passing over much; indeed, there has come to you light and a clear Book from Allah;

read my posts above keeping this ayah in mind, O you the unbiased one

Re: Allah (SWT) did not create this world for Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

I've read that the purpose of Muhammed (pbuh) prophethood was to reveal the Quran. He was a medium b/w Allah, and humankind.

Saying that The purpose of making this world was so that God could create the Prophet (pbuh) doesn't really make sense. Why send hundreds of thounsands of prophets before him?

nomaan, i am at work and do not have a copy of Quran here. But related to this is an Ayat in Quran that talks about all the prophets bearing witness to Prophet Mohammad infront of Allah before the world was created. I think the Sura is Sura Imran (i m not sure). May be some enlightened person could help us here by posting the great verse. Thanks.

Re: Allah (SWT) did not create this world for Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Light in that verse may refer to The Quran itself. Through Quran(light) me make things clear and I doubt God would be mentioning the material the Prophet(as) was made of. Even if the ayat refers to the holy Prophet(as), I strongly believe that the meaning is metaphorcial rather than literal.

Further more you havent posted authentic hadiths to support your belief. please do

Wah! keya kehnay mohtram! Maan gaey aapko GHaer jaanib daaron ka ustaad.

What are you?? An authority on Quran??

following are some commentaries on the above ayah from famous Ulema of Ahle-sunnah:

EXPLANATION OF THE PROPHET’S NAME “LIGHT” (NUR)

There are three verses in the Qur’an which mention the Prophet as a light.

Allah said: “From Allah has come to you a Light and a Book manifest.” (5:15)

**

**There is a notable explanation among Ahl al-Sunna which ascribes the meaning of the Prophet to both the Light and the Book. **

here you go:

The Prophet’s uncle al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib said to him: “O Messenger of Allah, I wish to praise you.” The Prophet replied: “Go ahead – nay, may Allah adorn your mouth with silver!” He said:

Before you came to this world you were blessed in the shadows and in the repository (i.e. loins) in the time when they (Adam and Eve) covered themselves with leaves. Then you descended to the earth, neither as a human being, nor as a piece of flesh, nor as a clot, But as a drop that boarded the ark when the flood destroyed the eagle and the rest of the idols:
A drop that progressed from the loins to the wombs in the succession of the worlds and the heavens Until the Preserver of All made your immense honor issue in the highest summit of the line of Khindif. And then, when you were born, a light rose over the earth until it illuminated the horizon with its radiance. We are in that illumination and that original light and those paths of guidance – and thanks to them pierce through.

Ibn Sayyid al-Nas narrated it with his isnad through al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar in Minah al-madh (p. 192-193), also Ibn Kathir in al-Sira al-nabawiyya (ed. Mustafa Abd al-Wahid 4:51), and Ali al-Qari in his Sharh al-Shifa’ (1:364) says it is narrated by Abu Bakr al-Shafii and Tabarani, and cited by Ibn Abd al-Barr in al-Istiab and Ibn al-Qayyim in Zad al-maad.

[sarcasm] wait a min, this too is daeef, isn’it  [/sarcasm] btw there are more

side note: You see Faisal, I can also color the sunni doctrine

Re: Allah (SWT) did not create this world for Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Salam
According to hadith and certain interpretation of Quran, Allah (s.w.t) may have created Prophet Mohammad (PUBH&HF) first as a light (noor) before creating prophet Adam. This hadith will related to that. Also the three verses of surrat Rahman (could) support this interpretation.
