Allah Pendants

I was thinking of buying myself one, but would I have to take it off every time I was to use the ladies?

Re: Allah Pendants

I heard you have to take it off everytime u go to bathroom. so yes u can make a habit of doing that.

It's always the "haram police" who are spreading such things, however there is no legal rule which tells us to do so. It's just like with reading the Quran, some will tell you that you have to do wudhu before reciting the Quran, however it's not necessary. You can do it If you want, but it's not prohibited for us to recite the Quran without doing wudhu.

So yeah, If you want to be extra careful about it, go ahead.

Re: Allah Pendants

^ but its even written on Quran book itself that, something like, only touch with paak hands. That means u should be ba-wazzu when u are touching it and reciting Quran. no ?

I would wear Ayat Ul Kursi in my chain but then I was told (by a friend) not to go with this to bathroom or when i am not paak ( u know what i mean). its just like that you cannot take Quran book with u to washroom , so u cannot take ayat al kursi or any other Qurani verse with you, even if its in the form of pendant.

I was talking about reciting the Quran, not touching it.

Anyway, If there are such limitations of wearing such a pendant. Why wear them at all? And also Why make them at all?

Because humans are illogical creatures.

Re: Allah Pendants

you can wear them if u are with wazzu. which we are or we should be most of the time. CE if u like it then plz go ahead. just be a lil more careful. :)

Re: Allah Pendants

CE, it is recommended to remove such pendants when using the bathoom.

Now to answer the question, why they are made in the first place? Oh well, if you look at many things we do, a lot of them are unIslamic but done because of cultural influences. Half the practices in our weddings are borrowed from other cultures and can be easily eliminated if we were to follow a pure Islamic set up. Similarly, there is no need for wearing and Allah pendant... are we expecting that pendant to protect us or can we just do basic namaz and ask Allah for his protection. You know what I'm saying.

Re: Allah Pendants

If one wants to wear such a thing, then out of respect they should remove it when entering the bathroom even for wudhu.

Re: Allah Pendants

^ exactly cp!

be-adbi hoti hai varna...after all its Allahs name...

Re: Allah Pendants

i was told that one can cover it too (inside their shirt) or place it in their pocket.

That's what I thought....any thoughts?

Re: Allah Pendants

:salam:

Allah Is the Protector
Allah (swt), our Creator, is the best to protect human beings. It is mentioned in the Glorius Qur’an in Surah Anam Chapter 6 verse 14

“Say: Shall I take for my protector any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth?”
[Al-Qur’an 6:14]
It is mentioned in several places in the Glorius Qur’an including
Surah Ali Imran Chapter 3 Verse 150 and Surah Alhajj Chapter 22 Verse 78
“Allah is your Protector, and He is the best of helpers.”

So if u wanna wear u can wear but u hav to tk extra care :k:

Salaam,

I want one too to show pride in my Deen. (Insha Allah one day my Lord will give me the strength to grow a beard to show my pride in Islam.)

Just make sure you don't wear it in dirty places and in the state of Haidh, Nifaas, Janaabah and Wudhulesness.

Salaam.

Yes exactly, Allah is our protector, not a piece of metal with the term Allah written on it. Also If one would wear such a pendant because they think it would give them protection, one is performing shirk.

1). You want to show off, which violates Islamic teachings.
2). Pride has no place in Islam.

Just be thankful to Allah that you were born into a Muslim family and are a Muslim also.

Re: Allah Pendants

Asalamulaikum brothers and sisters,
i´m still confused about wether i can wear a pendant or not when i go to the washroom even if i cover it under my shirt or putting it in my pocket ?

Re: Allah Pendants

What about Taweez. They have quarnic ayaat written on them. Do we need to take them off too when going to use the bathroom?

Re: Allah Pendants

I think those are wrapped up and sealed…dunno. I don’t think taweez’s are good either :bummer:

:wsalam: Arki

Listen! U can wear but in my view, better u keep the name of Allah SWT in ya mind n heart and especially on your tounge (recite as much as u can). one simple question when u wear the pendant u can’t see at the pendant whole the time so why u in need to wear?

another reason which i would like to share with ya all ke wearing Allah’s pendant, will let a thought in your mind that i’m wearing Allah’s “pendant” so Allah SWT’s help/protection is always with me (b’coz i’m wearing pendant). This thaught came into ya mind b’coz of the “pendant” mean u are asking from Allah SWT through it instead asking directly to Allah SWT without wearing the pendant.

rest is upto u if u wanna wear or not.

TLK, I thought Taweez and stuff is shirk. Only Allah SWT can protect us from evil and cure us from illness, not an Ayat with a cloth wrapped around.
