Re: Queen Elizabeth II invites Malala Yousafzai to palace
Her haters are more because Pakistan just hate conspiracies. She is a just a kid and whatever happened to her was terrible. Now she is being commercialised/exploited by west. But that's NOT her fault in anyway. So why should we hate her. We should welcome a positive news coming out of Pakistan with open heart and open arms.
Even if she is doing a conspiracy, she is up against taleban. I think the choice should have been easy.
Re: Queen Elizabeth II invites Malala Yousafzai to palace
yeah you read it right, it was typo on my part. It was supposed to be ‘Pakistanis just love conspiracies’ . lol.
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Some people can keep sulking and spinning conspiracy theories to their detriment. Who cares? Malala will keep striving. And winning. And as long as Pakistan has people like Malala Yousufzai with courage and vision, there’s still hope left. Long live Malala!
"16-year-old Malala Yousafzai wins Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought](http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/10/world/malala-wins-sakharov-prize/index.html)
Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai has won the European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
Parliament President Martin Schulz called the 16-year-old a “brave advocate for education” who “reminds us of our duty toward children and especially girls.”
Malala Yousafzai: Accolades, applause and a grim milestone
The prize is worth about $67,000.
Malala’s activism started after the Taliban banned girls from schools in Pakistan’s Swat Valley in 2009. She anonymously blogged for the BBC in opposition to that order, and became an open advocate for girls’ education.
In 2011, Malala told CNN, “I have the right of education. I have the right to play. I have the right to sing. I have the right to talk.”
A year later, she was riding the bus home from school when a Taliban gunman climbed aboard and shot her in the head. She nearly died.
Since then, Malala has recovered and continued advocating for girls’ education, despite ongoing death threats from the Taliban
Malala appears on “The Daily Show”
She’s also a favorite to win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, which will be awarded Friday. If Malala wins, she would become the youngest-ever Nobel laureate."
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Hope she lives long and stay healthy and happy.
But these 'news' of her 'haters' vowing to kill or hurt her makes me suspicious (daal mein kala hai), that if something happens to her (God forbid) in future, wrong people may get blamed. And she will be a star even bigger than this.
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
You mean wrong people like TTP?
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
I think “wrong people blamed” probably means government here as they would go “she had received threats, govt didn’t do enough to stop them” … may be, just may be ![]()

It's natural for blame to go to those threatening her. As far as those people are concerned killing her is not an issue they have already killed thousands like her.

Sure. No problem with any simplistic view.
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Did TTP's Adnan Rashid not only admit but also justify attack on Malala in an open letter to her? *iss k baad kissi shak ki gunjaish baqi reh jaati hai? *Was it yet another conspiracy?
TTP are nothing but a bunch of fasadi criminals imo. Although it is a home grown problem, I do believe that they are getting help from outside..
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Here is a fictional story:
A woman marries a man, who used to date with her close girlfriend.
The man is jerk. He treats her bad. He comes home late, sometimes drunk. Even beats her. She once was admitted to hospital with injuries.
This man has bad temper and fights with the neighbors for some reasons. These neighbors also hear loud noise whenever husband and this woman argue. The neighbors hate this man too.
This woman tells her miserable life to her girl friend who has grudge against this woman and hates her for marrying her ex-boyfriend and her girl friend tells this to others how bad this jerk is treating his wife.
The woman also tells this to her ex-boyfriend who happens to be a cop. He has grudge against her husband.
The woman is afraid of her husband and the cop offers to protect her.
One morning the woman is found dead at a park.
Who killed this woman?
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Taleban claim that Malala is conspiring against Islam, they don’t realise but they are the ones conspiring against the religion.

Agreed never seen a goat quack.
besides there will be some who won't believe that taleban have done it even if they accept responsibility for the same.
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
I think we have become such cynics that we are suspicious of anything good coming out of the country.
Lets assume that the story of Malala being a mouthpiece, agent, poster-girl, puppet, etc is true. How is that hurting Pakistan? Would you guys rather have Mullah Fazalullah (or even Rehman Malik when it comes to that) being interviewed by Jon Stewart and have him represent Pakistan?

Its more about making a hero out of someone instead of someone emerging as a hero him/herself.

Its more about making a selective person hero.
But regardless of her being selected, as a hero, it is not her fault and she should not be criticized or ridiculed. She hasn't done any harm to people.
How many would have guts to speak at UN in front of world leaders or give an interview so clearly at age 16?
She does deserve complements.

Isnt it heroic in itself that a girl at a tender age of 15-16 years is standing infront of the biggest fitna of this time which even our leaders are scared to name them after terror attacks? How many of us can do the same especially in TTP infected areas?
Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
She should stay out of anti-talibanic rhetoric to keep her safe. And should focus on education and other Pakistani problems which are far too many themselves.

Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Whether we like it or not its Malala who exposed the taleban and showed their real face to the whole world. TTP came out as the people who can kill people and justify it through Quran and Hadith, these people claim to be fighting for the religion. Are their tactics helping the religion or damaging it? I also clearly remember how people came out to protect those forces responsible for killing 50000 of my fellow countrymen against her. Sad reality of the country and no wonder why we are in this predicament where we can't even differentiate between friends and foes.
