Lentils have proteins as well.. and they give u the feeling of being "full" as well.. protein is important, but it's not a sure-fire way of losing weight.. lack of carbs makes u very groggy and cranky!
Cabbage soup, grilled fish and lean meat.. as well as potatoes and other veg's wud do the trick!
this thread will die on its on. don't think any alive girl will have the nerves to come and post here. bcos they all think they are not moti but instead healthy.
This was about 6 or 7 years ago but I lost weight by eating more fruits/veggies and natural food, excercising and grilled meat/fish/chicken. Im going shopping next week to pick up some meat and chicken and have my mom make it using a small amount of olive oil, low salt, no spices, etc. Im trying to tone up and just be more fit.

PS you can take in writing from me that at any stage of your life you could lose extra weight!
I am sure you wont gain weight. But if that happens you would lose it.
I also think you should participate in weight loss thread to tell girls how its done.

Why no spices? Does it make the food more fattening? or just a matter of personal taste?

Sara, its just a matter of personal taste. I know Im supposed to be tolerant of spices being desi and all - but I cant. I love spicy food...but it gives me this slight tingling/burning feeling in my chest sometimes so I stay away from it.
Other then that, my mom can make low fat chicken look and taste amazing! She made it for me a few years ago when I was dieting heavily but then I just adjusted my diet after a while to maintain the weight loss. Now, I balance out my food intake. If Ive had an unhealthy lunch/dinner one day, I know I cant do it again the next day. I have to make up for it. Another thing that helps in maintaining weight loss is the quality of your food and water intake. Processed food is usually loaded with calories, additives and preservatives. Home made food will give you better results, keep you healthier and feeling better.
^ I guess juices, coffeses soda, etc... usually these have alot of calories but absolutely no nutritional value, they're considered a waste of calories most of the time
