Woman should be strong enough to tell their husband that girls are as good as boys.
So if they have 2 girls first they STILL can start family planning.
well i am from Kashmir and when i went to visit a few years back, there was a mela i got all excited, but it turned out only men go the mela's and women stay at home. actually women dont go to any events....... now how boring is tht. there is nothing for women to do, even schools stop after 17, for the girls tht do decide to go.
in Kashmir everything needs to be changed for women (that is though as long as the womens intentions are good)
There is no place in masjid for ladies they should make seperate rooms their. Its all man society jahaan jana ho ghattiya nazron waley mard hazraar maujood hotay hain even bus stations ko hi dekh lo
hmmm.. the whole perception about women needs sum change!. N for this Men needs to change their perception too..
Hmm No seperate que for women anywhere u go!..Wat the heck! beilng in a muslim country women deserves seperate lines. I cannot be comfortable at alll standing in b/w line of Strange Men!. Ppl think dat this is MODERNIZATION…couple of times i have heard ppl saying mostly merd hazrat …K Merdo K shana Bashana chalna hei to ye bhee face kerna chayeh… Such a illl mentality!…

Actually the women in this case are not to be blamed since there is so much preassure on them not only from their families but also from society to produce boys. Husband ko convince karna to dooor ki baat, women themselves want to have BOYS so they can be proud and make rest of the world happy.
I agree Sajal. If women could get over that “boy” syndrome, and be more confident in accepting the reality, perhaps the barbaric or jahiliyat in our society may lessen.
Sometimes I feel aurtein are aurat’s greatest dushman. Why can’t we overcome and move on? Low self image? Is it our society that has made us that way? Or we, ourselves are to blame.
I think women should not compromise on the ability to have a career.
I mean they work or stay home Its up to them. But they should never pick their studies thinking "I am going to be married". So lets study easiest things. Get my BA and get married.
They need to put as much effort in as boys do.
If woman do it, their relation to their husbands would be of their choice. MAJBOORI KA NAHEEN. Thats, in case husband become abusive. Women can walk out and economically survive.
Gosh I have heard so many stories on this topic that it just boils my blood every time I think of it. :o
Sorry K_A for going offtopic like that but this happens to be a very sensitive issue amongst desis and I don’t even see it getting resolved any time soon.
