Non emergency ops were cancelled and GPs were only attending to emergencies.
In Pak, the YDA was on strike, not all Dr’s. If the rest of the medical community supported them (which they should do), critical patients would and should have not gone without care. As I pointed before, young doctor’s should not be wholly responsible for patients anyway. If they are, this is a serious problem with the system which needs to be addressed and no doubt one of the reasons for striking in the first place.
