I love long hair and it was fun to have those updos. Dolled up for the first time in my life, I didn’t want to put down my hair at all. They do put in extentensions if the bride has short hair but the added weight just brings on a headache. It would be good to have bit of a length and healthy hair. The high updo is necessary as it has to bear the weight of the dupatta. I only regret the fact that I did not put in a fancy hair accessory. I love them but but couldn’t find a decent one at that time. I did get to put in flowers.
cherrybell, it is actually pretty easy to undo your hair after everything is over with a bit of conditioner and a wide toothed comb. Ask your MUA to give you a hairstyle that is convertible if you think you’ll put down your dupatta at the end of the night. I don’t really recommend that but you can do as you wish.
By ‘end of the night’ I meant after rukhsati or reception is over. You know when your wedding night starts. Dunt you just think undoing hair at that time is a night mare. And I ll feel uncomfortable keeping the style until the next morning. And who would have time to use conditioner and comb at that time.
LOL, I did not get time to undo it on the baraat day but after the valima was over, my husband himself got the conditioner and combed out every tangle within minutes. I also had Dove makeup removing sheets so wiped out all the paint quickly, too. :)
i've got really long hair n it'll be hard to undo back combing, are there any hair styles i cud opt for that donot require back combing? for main day n valima.
