All Juice Diets..

Salaam all,
As some of you know.. I recently joined WW.. which is working great.. lost 12 lbs in about 6 weeks.. but now I am at a stand still.

I was thinking of doing an all juice diet.. where for 48 hours you drink all the juices that you want but no solid foods.

Has anyone tried this? Safe not Safe?

Not safe. Dieting is not safe. All you need to do is eat healthy 3 meals per day, and do plenty of cardio. That's the healthy way losing weight :)

Tahnk fretty.. but its so freaking frustrating..
I am at such a stand still... :(

juices have loads of sugar.. they may try to balance calorie intake.. but if u have reduced wait.. now try to eat healthy and exercise to reduce slowly.. drink more water.. less carbs.. more vegis.. and protein..

Exactly. Eating a healthy diet (3 meals per day) and excercising hard regularly (cardio) will no doubt allow you to lose weight slowly, but it will be permanent. Dieting will let you lose weight very quickly, but it's very unhealthy because once you start to eat regularly again, your body won't be able to handle it, and eventually you will gain even more weight.

fret’s advice is good…i use his regimen and it’s :k:

The Game Responds:

*Try putting yourself in my shoes, be 225 pounds and do that, monkey. I lost 75 pounds only by cutting down on the number of meals a day and exercising like a madman. Really. People, That Is All.*

If you read my post correctly monkey, you’d realize that I said dieting will make you lose weight quickly. It doesn’t mean it’s healthy. It’s not recomended to cut down on your regular 3 meals a day. All one needs to do is eat healthy 3 meals a day, and excercise effectively on a regular basis. I suppose you’d also think that a subway diet is healthy.

Juice Idea out the window then. :)

how did u loose weight ? what are u doing at WW ? pls explain

Weight Watchers and cardio and Yoga DVDs that I did at home..
the weight just seemed to melt off wasn't hard at all...

but now its at a stand still for like 2 weeks... thats what I was really asking how to get out of this rut..

Good that your not going with the juice diet...keep up with the WW plan but work out longer or use different weight sizes.

Don't let this discourage you, you are doing great.

:)

fret, eating Subway subs im moderation minus all the mayo, cheese, etc is ok once in a while. that is my opinion.

Subway

The “Subway Diet” is a clever advertising campaign, featuring Jared Fogle, a young man who supposedly lost 200 pounds by skipping breakfast and consuming a 6 inch Subway turkey sub for lunch and a 12 inch veggie sub, chips and a diet coke for dinner. According to Subway, he did no exercise.

Reality: Any diet that restricts caloric intake is going to lead to weight loss, no matter the food choices made. The problem with the “Subway Diet” approach is that it is far too narrow in its focus and not sustainable in the long-term. It does not teach balanced nutrition that can be adapted to a normal diet once the weight loss goal is reached. The bottom line with the Subway Diet is that it is purely a marketing campaign meant to instill the idea in the consumer that Subway sandwiches are a healthier choice than other fast food options.

Fretty... I think she meant that you can consider it a healthy meal once in a while..

but to have that everyday.. ilkilkilk!!!

I know what she meant, but the "Subway Diet" is an actual diet method as stated in the article. That's what I was referring to when I said "A Subway Diet". Very unhealthy is you ask me.

Fret! how do you do cardio exercise ? :konfused:

Cardio is short for Cardiovascular. Cardiovascular excercise is excercise that involves increasing the heart rate. This could involve, running, swimming, biking, or even raquet sports. For effective Cardiovascular Fitness, the heart rate must be maintained at a level between 70% and 85%, which is the Target Training Zone, of the maximum heart rate.

thanks fret :flower2:

Someone had mentioned in another post about doing
jumping jacks, and rope skipping.

I need to know how many times one should do these and how often during a week, to get good results. And also what kind of warm up is needed before and what kind of cooling off techniques should be used.
Would stretching be ok before and after?

Thanks in advance.
