Brothers and sisters,
4th of this January I’ll be departing for Hajj, :insha:…
I must have done something right in my life for Allah :swt: to bestow this tremendously awesome blessing upon me…I cannot tell you how much this means to me…This is it…The greatest blessing that a Muslim can attain besides Shahadat, and I am receiving it…I am humbled beyond words…
This is also my last post on GupShup…Having about ten days left in which to depart, I wish to take this time to prepare myself mentally and spiritually for this ultimate pilgrimage that anyone fortunate enough to make can make…
I go with great hopes and much fears…Hopes, that my Hajj will be accepted and I’ll come back a better Muslim and fears, that it will not and I’ll remain the way I am…I need your Duas so that my Hajj is accepted, Ameen…
Since this is my last post, I can’t leave without giving some sort of advice, can I?
My advice is this:
You are all Ahumdulillah Muslims…Learn about your faith, even if it’s one little bit of knowledge at a time, and there is an ocean for you to learn…An identity of a Muslim is his faith otherwise he is nothing more than a Hindu, Christian or an atheist…Be known for what you believe in…
Do not be discouraged by setbacks, for everything is in the hands of Allah (swt)…Most of the Prophets (May peace be upon them) led very distraught and miserable lives…One would think that Allah (swt) disliked them, but in reality, they were the most beloved and adored of His people…And the only thing that made these Prophets (May peace be upon them) kings and giants among men was their faith and patience…
Faith is light and patience is its brightness…Each complements the other so develop these virtues, for they too will work to make you great InshAllah…
No misery and hardship that ever befalls a Muslim goes without it being compensated generously by Allah (swt) for it in Aakhira, so never despair…Everything happens through the Will of Allah (swt) and there is little you can do about it except to bear it all with a smile…
Que sera sera…
Whatever will be, will be…
Make things easy for others and life will be easier for yourself…
That’s it…End of advice…

I also want to thank Azkar for letting me use his site for this long, which provided me with so much ways to waste my time…
I’ll remember all of you and make Dua for you, and I wish you’d make Dua for me too…
Thanks also to the Mullah brigade…Your knowledge and advice were greatly appreciated and welcomed, and may Allah (swt) grant you strength to pat the secular brigade to where they belong…
Just a last request to the Admins to please let Anwaar Qureshi, Ata and SalmanNY back in…These were great contributing members, especially AQ, to whom almost all the Islamic smilies can be thanked for…I specially miss AQ, for not only was he a good person, his knowledge of Urdu MashAllah was exemplary…That loss of particular knowledge was a great setback for GS…I doubt they’d wanna be back, but still…Their longtime participation on GupShup was very rudely and lamely rewarded…Shows a thing about the upbringing and hospitality of those involved in their eviction…
