I agree with several points. Shoaib is back and great. Man his batting has really picked up since the in teh last few months. Hopefully he can continue to help out with ~20 runs a game. Razzaq has been ok but has too be far more consistant. On this team he is basically a vetaran and can't give away his wicket that easily, if he does;nt up his game we have lots of all-rounders waiting for a chance to play. Also I agree that one of our biggest problems is that we have a poor domestic league that can't produce batsmen who can handle pressure. anyways, its just one match, it will be very interesting to see how the pitch turns out for the rest of the tournament, I think only one more match will played at Dambulla, which will take place tommorrow, after that its Colombo, where its a batsman paradise and a very spinner friendly wicket.

Shoaib Akhtar is not a batsman (sure he can play), let's keep him for the critical time when we really need him like we did aganist New Zealand. I woundn't mind trying Abdul Razzaq as a opener but what is the point when we already have Fasial Ather & Muhammad Hafeez.
Going in with 4 seamers won't do any good, specially on the pitches of Colombo.
So Dinesh Kaneria must be played, he is a very good spinner.
Taufeeq and Faisal Iqbal should be taken out for Yasir Hameed and Faisal Athar, this tournament is all about grooming the youngsters, and we need to try out the other players who haven't played so far.

It is all depend on the pitch condition and i think they will not use Shabbir Ahmed if they feel that Spiner will have a chance to take some wickets, especially Dinesh with his killer leg breaker. Don't forget Yasir can also bowls (Right Arm Off Break) just like Shoaid malik.
I reason I would like to have Yasir Hammed Play #4 or #5 beacause there will not be too much presure on him and their will be a senior player like Yousef to guide him. (YoYo beter have good game otherwise i will be piss)
Let's hope all Pakistani batsmen and bowlers capatlize on the pitch condition.

One thing I don't like about Yousuf Youhana is that he doesn't like to play at number 3.
Usually Number 3 is reserved for the best batsman or atleast a very good batsman, if you look at other good batting lineup you will see very good players batting on number 3 like Brian Lara, Rickey Ponting, Sauruv Ganguly etc.
He needs to take responsibility as the most experienced batsman, and plus our top order is very fragile, we need someone to have solid defense if we lose an early wicket.
Faisal Athar is said to be player with good foot movement, and a very good backlift, management needs to give him a try.

Very difficult batting conditions and I'm not really too bothered about this loss, under those conditions it's hard to judge batsmen, a lot depends on your luck. Chris Nevin looked in all sorts of trouble early on but he survived, got dropped and went on to take NZ to safety as a result.
It's a good test for the younger players going against NZ though, they have a good seam attack and I hope Shane Bond will be fit to play against us in the next match as I want to see how the boys handle it.
