She’s still into the boring life so I don’t know. And she was in London for her uni and it didn’t happen until she stated working. Bankers can’t be more out there then her dorm folks who were perpetually naked.

I don’t see why the past has to be declared? The automatic assumption is that past behavior is an indicator of future behavior - I know that I won’t regress to how I once was; a potential rishta doesn’t, for them it would be whether they are prepared to take the risk or not.

she should be better at hiding it - I learnt how to compartmentalize my life: the good boy around old school friends/family and the guy who didn’t believe in consequences around everyone else. The two worlds never mixed, thankfully.

No because past is past. Did Rasulullah (SAW) not take for friends and wives etc that did wrong before they became muslim? Umar (R) was known to be a hothead and had killed people before he converted to Islam.
So who am I to judge someone for their past?

Growing up (in Europe), 99.5% of the Pakistani guys I knew, used to drink. Nowadays, many of them are devout muslims. So just because someone does not drink today, it does not necessarily mean, he did not drink in the past. Obviously, post 9/11 there was somewhat of a religious awakening, and people got more conscience about religious do’s and don’ts. So it would not surprise me if (western born and/or bred) pakistani guys born post late 80s, don’t have the same relationship to alcohol as my generation did.
I would contend that its a good thing, because more often than not, guys from my generation did not know their limits, and would end up doing some pretty stupid things while drunk. Just for the record, I belonged to the 0.5% who did not drink.

Look, nearly every guy (PAki) from 26-34 that I know has at some point had a drink. Alot of them - you’d never know it. In London, they’re are specific meet ups where cars and cars of Paki boys link up and get pissed,stoned and do charlie but no one outside of these boys will know about it. It is what it is!

Why would drinking be considered worse if cigarettes are far more harmful? If it’s a matter of self control (or lack thereof) and self harm, shouldn’t all the fatties guzzling coke and big macs, shortening their lives, be considered heathens noobs?
Also, @badabing I would walk away quickly from these self proclaimed rishta aunties.
