Mirch bhaii can I ask you one thing If some one goes in Rehab they go in steps or they directly tell people to leave the alcohol. Its just a question if you don't mind please answer.
I know where you are coming from , the point is that the word haram has not been used for Alcohol in Quran, nothing can change that fact. That is why there can be no punishment for drunks and alcohol addicts , they have to be provided treatment . Allah knows the best only Allah knows why Allah did not make alcohol Haram in Quran we can only guess and your guess is as good as mine.
This issue is bigger than what you think.
NashTay mein Nashaa karna mana hai kia :aq:
Haram is a Islamic term with specific meaning and connotation, the word "ajtanabu" used in sura a maida is not a substitute for word Haram. Ajtanabu will mean avoid it or shun it as you rightly qouted. Yes if Allah says avoid it then I will make every attempt to avoid it, I am so particular about these terms , because a lot of confusion has been created in this religion by twisting the words of Allah and Allah's Prophet(SAW)
As i dont believe in argument/disagreement just for the heck of it, so i just took some of my time to find the meanings of fajtanaboho.
and it came out with these words.
1)Shun
2)eschew
3) avoid
4)Leave it
Now if u look at the meanings of Shun, leave it and in some cases eschew it means Allah is clearly telling u not to do something/ prohibiting and perhapes its haram, and when u look at the word avoid then it means its not haram but its advised not to consume intoxicants and it will be called makrooh.
and watever is Makrooh, u can have it, but its not liked by Allah, for example many scholars agree that cigerrate is makrooh but still ppl smoke it as its not haram.
but if u combine all 4 verses where Allah tells us to shun/eschew/avoid/leave intoxicants it also says that intoxicants are loathsome evil of Shaitaan's doing.
and if i just consider Quran as the divine source and see that Allah is telling not once, not twice but 4 times to shun/eschew there are more chances that its haram.
if u look at the categorization in islam
i would agree with most of the scholars and put it in the last category as Allah tells us 4 times to Shun/eschew/ avoid/ leave and tells that it has more harms than goods and it is an evil of shaitaan. i dont need to look at any hadith for this thing as i consider Quran as the primary source.
again its just a healthy discussion, ur views made me think even more and get the other meanings of "FAJTANABOHO" aswell, and m thankful to u for that.
and Allah is the best judge he would guide both of us and even if we disagree on it and our intentions are neat, we dont need to be scared Insha Allah
PS. word haram is not even mentioned for Adultery. Is it makroh or halal?
Re: Alcohol free beer and champagne.

I use to drink back home in my merry England of beef and beer but I’ve given up (gunaah aur bhi bahot hain zindagi mein karney ko) but I don’t see the point in drinking alcohol free versions of alcoholic drinks, why not pop or fruit juice?
However I don’t see anything wrong with them religiously. The Holy Koran only forbids Al-Khamr (Intoxicants), not apple cider or beer if it’s non-alcoholic.
You’ve got me all naustalgic now, I’ll pine for England all day now… I don’t like beer that much (always preffered alco-pops and girly drinks) but a nice roast beef dinner with crispy roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and steamed veg covered in thick onion gravy would go down very nicely followed by sponge and custard, I’m sick of rich spices and tandoor ki roti… Ohhh how I miss the hilly valley of our village in the English country side and the cool crisp fizaa and a special someone to warm upto behind mouldy farmyard wallls when it got rainy and windy in the hilly countryside. ![]()
Mojitos sounds like a damn good taco
Gin & Tonic sounds like number duo hair products ![]()
Me thinks the word ‘confusion’ sometimes is just merely a convenient form of an excuse, ney doth thinks? ![]()
tuo kia buttons nahi but real hain? ![]()
Now, now children no need to be fighting over me ![]()

Look Mirchi bhaiii I think you believe ke Hazrat Mohammad (saw) ne jo kaha woh sach ahi and Quran ki explanation di so ab aap bataayein jab nabi ne us ko explain kiya ke woh sahi nahi hai phir aap kaisay keh saktey hain ke sharabi ko is ke gunah ki saza nahi miley gi.Ok eik baat aur hamaray aur aap ke guess nahi kaam aayein gay jab tak hamein deen kaa sahi ilm nahi ho and ham apnay se andazay laga ker gunehgaar naa banein to acha hai.
mein koii alim to hoon nahi but I do know ke ahadees mein sharaab per sakht waeed aai hai .now I am waiting for your side ke aap ne khud se kis kisam kaa mafhoom nikala hai .
Re: Alcohol free beer and champagne.
^^^ and as i mentioned in my "detailed" post that word "haram" is not even used for adultery, so can we say that adultery is not "haram"???
i think when Allah says that keep away from something, and that thing is evil of shaitaan so it is very much clear that that particular thing would be haram. or do we wana see the word "haram" in the verse?
