If you are worried about so many people who will be taking undue advantage of the pill, then you should be focusing your energy on finding out WHY fornication and adultery is so widespread and uncontrollable, rather than focusing on taking away or limiting a perfectly good intervention for rape victims.
Yes I agree I personally do focus on trying to encourage society to remain chaste and avoid fornication by presenting its harms and dangers and related punishments. I also try to encourage youngsters to channel their energy into sports, studies and helping the community in physical things. I also think society is not ready for the full availability of the pill at this stage.
The reasons why I think the pill needs to be more widely available is because rape victims mostly don't go straight to the emergency room, due to shock, etc. Even in modernized western countries, a lot of women go straight home and take a shower. At least, if nothing else, if the pill is handy at home, they can take it. Doing a rape assessment in the clinic is pretty speedy and a pill can be given as soon as she's been assessed. Rape leaves its marks. Rape is not simply an act of sex. Its an act of violence, and therefore, any therapy for the victim should be made accessible to her.
She shouldn't have to be jumping through hoops for it, because society has failed to instill morals in other people.
True, True and True ... but until the damage that society has done can be reversed we need to be cautious with over access as it may send another message. The police are also to blame for rape in their slow response times and furthermore women can do a better job at being stern and less desirable to strangers. Open lewdness and uncensored fashion can also lead potential rapists to do the act by fuelling their carnal weak spots. Internet and watershed times on TV need to be looked at too. Families need to be more family orientated and people should be encouraged to remain in the company of others as much as reasonably possible. It is will build ties and be safer for all.
