Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
ok inspi, i now feel the need the stage an intervention…how can you NOT own a hoody??? or sweats?
not even a cute BCBG or Juicy couture track suit? ![]()
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
Here’s what I would wear on a long haul flight (in fact, i own this exact same one :cb:) hair would be in a messy, low bun and I would most likely have my glasses on since i have chronic dry eye and airplane travel wreaks havoc on my contacts
makeup would be lipgloss and moisturizer only…maybe some mascara if i remembered :bummer:
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I'm with khatti there.....love the dark, stylish track suit that keeps you comfy and still lets you look good....particularly for long-haul flights.
Make-up is left to a minimum and touched up or put on just before landing. Hair is always in a loose bun or knot to keep it out of the way and clean.
Back in the day I would travel in a suit for business but nowadays even business travel is reduced to stylish jeans and a sharp top or button down shirt.
Dress lightly. Its roasting in toronto
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
i'm a guy so i don't understand the need for this thread and it just boggles my mind that so much thought is put into this ... just put on anything thats comfy and screw the makeup because i've seen weirdos on the plane and most guys are just making fun of them anyways ... trust me everyone wants to go to their destination whether its home or a vacation and frankly no ones really interested in other ppl on the plane or wat they're wearing
I really dont understand how your opinion on this thread validates it or not. If you dont think its necessary just keep your sticky beak out? you just strolled in here with "this is pointless". The only thing pointless about this thread are your posts regarding style.
Style is opinionated. People dress and present themselves the way they want to because it makes them feel better about themselves.
But it seems like youre the type of person who likes to shove his opinion down the throats of others.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
Since I'll be flying in a few days, I got a few maxi dresses as they are BEYOND comfy and also really trendy/stylish at the moment. They also work wonderful for very long flights like London > Toronto. My flight is going to be a 14+ hour flight so I bought a few maxi dresses and flats and sandals to wear.
As for makeup, I plan on doing none because the air is recycled and it just sucks the moisture off your face. What I suggest doing is if you must wear makeup, take it off the minute you get into the plane or are about to get in the plane and hydrate your face immediately with moisturizer. Typically, I like invisible masks (they go on like moisturizers and are invisible) and I apply it for 5-10 minutes, wipe it off with a makeup wipe or a cotton pad soaked in Bioderma and I immediately apply a ton of moisturizer + eye cream. And just when you're about to land you can add some concealer or whatever else your routine is.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
^ uff i can never do these things in a flight ![]()
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I just dont wear hoodies or sweats ever. Unless its for the gym and sweats for sleeping. I never wear them out ever esp not one with JUICY written on my bum - sorry Khatti :( bebo understands!
What libran put up from ralph lauren was nice but thats like a jacket and jeans not like a full on track suit.
I really like the idea of Maxi Dresses!
I always wear flats or those sponge wedge which are more comfy then flats - my feet are a little flat so hurt after ages in very flat shoes.

Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
inspi.. is your secret fantasy to find your life partner on a long haul filght???
.. u being a bit tipsy after being up in the air for so long.. trying to find your way to the loo with a glass full of water.. suddenly some turbulence.. off you go falling into the lap of a hubba hubba looking passenger.. u 2 start talking.. and the rest is history?
my sis honestly thought this was the way she would find her potential.. infact.. she cant head out the door without looking like she stepped out of a magazine.. so you will find my sis in heels .. buying meet from the local grocer. :rotato:
her theory.. HE is out there.. i must be prepared!
i dont know why.. but i would like to believe your theory is the same
thus no hoodies and all that you wil never find a guy with that on clothing
tee hee hee
and i would wear jeans of the most comfy kind.. (maternity pants were DA BOMB).. a nice dress tunic sorta thing.. and chap stick! thats it.. when i get to the destination.. out comes some lipstick.. but tahts only if husband is on the receiving end.. if not.. screw that .. chap stick it is!
p.s) needless to say.. i did NOT meet my husband on a plane ![]()

Like you said it is an opinion and I just expressed mine ....

I absolutely despise words written across the bum. That is so trashy.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I didn’t know if I could use that word
but when I think juicy couture it equals trashy in my head. ![]()
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
There are certain things I'd keep in mind when travelling.
1) no bright colours.
2) no maxi dresses
3) no hoodies or jogging bottoms
4) no heavy jewelry (preferably no jewelry at all)
5) no high heels and no slippers/flipflops
Also I'd try to dress up according to the culture and weather of my destination.

P.S. I get you about the sweats/hoodies. Not my cuppa’ either. I like the idea of maxis. How about a maxi skirt with a comfy white tee and then you can add a blazer as you leave the plane.

Fair enough man. Just seemed like you were pushing your opinion onto the OP.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
okay to use it as long as it is not being addressed towards a member… (well done for thinking about it rather than just going ahead and doing it.)
but yeah…I get what you mean.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
maxi dresses....or any dresses for that matter, heels, stilettos particularly and jewellery could become a saftey hazard in the event of an emergency as well.....
