Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I wouldn't do anything. That's about an 8 hr flight I'm assuming? Just dab some concealer on your face before you land, along with gloss and mascara - just to look fresh and lively. As for clothing, same thing...I usually wear sweats on long flights lol change into a nicely fitted pair of skinnies and a t-shirt and throw a blazer or some other nice top over it with some nice sandals, as it's summer.
Leave your hair down/keep it low maintenance (ie - a messy bun, braid, etc), bcos if you try to style it (blow-dry, straighten, curl) you'll end up with a disastrous case of airplane-hair.
@ S_punk’s choice of words. VERY well put ![]()
I almost always wear sweats or something really comfy while flying (if its a long flight), and keep my hair in a messy (but tamed) bun. About an hour or so before landing, I fix up my hooliya :sid:
Like S said, keep it simple but look… decent? Concealer and a light lip stain/ gloss. And if I can take my hair out of the bun and manage to make it not look like an afro, i’ll go with it. Other wise, just cleanify the bun. ![]()
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
Good ideas S-Punk.
However sweats are a NO NO for me.....don't even own a pair :O
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
Just wear anything that you find really comfy and change before landing. Staying seated for 8 hours in jeans/dress pants is usually uncomfortable - if you can pull it off, hats off to you haha =]
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I always travel in jeans/trousers - even to pakistan - I dnno it just doesnt bother me too much.
I do touch up my makeup before landing but I look to look at airport and on plane too.......for some reason.
I went shopping today with no makeup and messy hair but for some reason airport/travel I alway like to fake being someone really cosmopolitan and important LOL.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
Lol, I was just like that! Until one fateful flight to Pakistan - I had my makeup and hair did and I was wearing nice clothes and everything.
When I got off at Barcelona (took off from Chicago) - I headed to the bathroom and saw my makeup was flaking off, my concealer had dried up in patches all over my face for some strange reason and my hair looked like a rat's nest or something. And this was makeup/concealer that looked flawless on me normally, even for long amounts of time. So yeah, I was 18 and when i got off at Barcelona I had wrinkles and weird makeup lines that aged me about 15 years lol. I think it was something to do with the recycled air up there...idk. But I learned my lesson.
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
i'm a guy so i don't understand the need for this thread and it just boggles my mind that so much thought is put into this ... just put on anything thats comfy and screw the makeup because i've seen weirdos on the plane and most guys are just making fun of them anyways ... trust me everyone wants to go to their destination whether its home or a vacation and frankly no ones really interested in other ppl on the plane or wat they're wearing
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
As a guy you dont understand that girls dont dress up to look good for guys:/
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?
I know that they don't and i think girls lie when they say they dress up for themselves
Re: Airport/Travel Outfit and Makeup and Hair.?

I always take a night flight, hoody, joggers, big glasses , hair loose pOny, eye mask and sleep on the flight ... Change into a fresh top, skinnies or leggings, my smart blazer , cute pumps, a stylish scarf, shades, freshen my hair up, bit of bronzer and I'm good to go...
