Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Who has the manual for this, whats the gas tank capacity like? does it need a direct line from Iraq oil-field, one more reason for French to side with US they would have gotton cheap gas to fill up their adventure.
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
THis is a huge liability. Imagine one of these going down and the writeoffs to come..![]()
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Hain??? So the aim is to make it easier and more efficient for the terrorists???
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Though you are still sticking with numbers… but you are beginning to get my point. ![]()
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Faisal, as I said earlier, the air traverllers have increased 400% since 70s, so why not try with larger planes. After all we have been depending on 747 for 3 decades now for more capacity and longer routes.
This is a next generation airliner to fullfill the needs of a tremendously growing planet. Think BIG, be BIG.
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
I know the whole argument for big and BIG. Ofcourse, the numbers are what drives the whole thing. Same thing for sky scrappers. Somehow when you see people throwing themselves from the 101st floor, it just makes you question the whole wisdom of going so high. Especially when there is no real need to.
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Was a joke Fasiel.
You can't allow terrorism to stump innovation. I don't think that a larger plane post 9/11 is more at risk than a normal 747, in fact it's likely that security will be greater with the A380 in order to gain the public's trust.
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
my only concern is the seating in Economy.. i don't mind a 1000 person (imagine the possibilites of 200 kids crying at the same time!) capacity as long as there's more leg and hip space on this lorry..
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
^ You are forgetting the grand total of 4 lavatories (who the heck uses the term ‘lavatories’ except in an air plane). Imagine the lines.
Business class all the way :k:

Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
I am not focussed on terrorism. Its any kind of emergency. Fire. Electric malfunction. What have you.
When you put so many people in so limited space, the security and safety risk increases.

Clogged Lavatories..right FG?

Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
True it’s nice to have your space when you’re plunging to your death at 30,000 feet high.
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
I don’t care what you say but increasing the number of passengers four folds is definitely gonna cause some air-circulation problems because gases are not confined finite volume. More people, more men, thus more chances of involuntary leakages.

Or the age-old wisdom of “too many eggs in one basket”
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Actually, it is probably better to have that many bodies in place incase you survive and get hungry…FG this is easy. See I cna do it too. ![]()
Re: Airbus A380: Biggest-ever passenger plane unveiled
Guys, have you ever taken a cruise? There are like half a million passengers on Royal Caribbean cruises. I once took a single men cruise (all passengers were men). I don’t know why there were no female passengers on the cruise. Some men were so nice; they would come and give me a hug for no reason. I think they thought I was looking sad or something.
