Coming back to the "Biggest-ever passenger plane" thingy, I just don't like the idea of crowding so many people in one sealed box. Its bad. Same reason why I don't like sky-scrappers. Ok, a few stories high is fine, as you want to maximize the land-use. Ok, if your city is an island and you don't have area to grow. But when states and developers go high and high just to compensate for the short-ness of their other body organs, and basically to spite the others (tallest building of its time) its just bad. Its a security risk and, as 9/11 shows, its a safety hazard for people working/living there.

Faisal you are numbers guy. Think numbers and then repose your questions why a plane with a larger capacity is a better mode of transportation for the masses as well as the companies that operate them. Think carpool...ya californianite

I just think bigger is not always better. Its a safety risk. There should be a line in the sand where you stop and think, does it even make any sense.
You are right. These planes are probably conceived by some bean counter as well.
