**KALAYA: **Warplanes attacked Taliban positions in the northwestern Orakzai region on Tuesday, killing 11 militants, a senior regional government official said.
Orakzai is one of the tribal regions along the Afghan border where the army has tried to root out militants with offensives against their strongholds.
The strike came a day after newspapers reported that Pakistan will launch an offensive in North Waziristan.
“We had information that militants gathered there and were planning attacks so we launched the attack,” senior government official Zaman Khan told Reuters in Kalaya, the main town of Orakzai. He said six militants were also wounded in the strike.
An earlier strike had killed at least 26 militants and destroyed about a dozen of their hideouts as fighter jets bombed targets Orakzai.
so basically, these savages were going to plan an attack soon!! hence, they carried out this air strike … the ones who are injured .. they should get some information from them …
wese i wonder are they going to be using air strikes in NW operation as well or its just going to be a ground attack!!?
Sources said the jets carried out bombing operations on militant hideouts in the Orakzai area of Mamuzai, killing up to 17 suspected insurgents and destroying five militant hideouts. Sources add that the air strikes are currently underway as further militant hideouts are being targeted.

Did Hakimullah or any of the top leader got killed??? if answer is no, then these numbers are doubtful... and chances are these are just people who are now named as terrorist...

not saying it is drama but facts say it is not what they say!
in 2009 or 2010 when SWA was launched, it was said that the total strength of taliban is aroung 4 to 5 thousand men, so far, if we calculate we have killed thousands of them and yet we see that they are fully capable of hitting anywhere at will...
Now if we have killed even half of those men, then the morale of those taliban should be below zero and normally in these circumstances, they should have been on run and not in attack at will base, because doesn't matter what ideology one follow, it is hard to see your mates felling and still continue to fight...
so yes i am doubting the claims, by average Pak-Army is killing 4/5 terrorist everyday from last 2 years and with that, we should have atleast killed around 2000 of them... have we killed the 50% of the men taliban had???

They have been airlifted to safety by NATO a few days ago. The 5 "arrested" and then airlifted were probably all top of the pyramid assets which were secured prior to start of the operation. Didn't something similar happen before the start of operation in South too?
