yes they do! I didn't do the research you did, but I went to Mubashir on my shaadi and he used airbrush makeup. My base was flawless in pictures and it felt completely weightless.
In comparison, although I loved my mehndi makeup and it looked nice, I could still feel the makeup on my face.
I havent heard of any other makeup artists doing this there, but I wouldnt have even known Mubashir did airbrush makeup if I hadnt gone to him for my shaadi. In fact, I didnt know until the day of my shaadi that he did airbrush makeup.
yeah and men actually design wedding outfits now in Pakistan, can you believe it? lol…uhh how many years has it been since you’ve been to Pakistan? Men rule all these industries…Tariq Amin, Ather Shehzad, Mubashir, HSY, Nomi Ansari, Dr. Haroon, Umer Sayeed?
Not that I know of, I think more MUAs are realizing its benefits for our weddings. You’re often sitting in front of and under bright lights for hours, having pictures taken all night and you need good coverage without getting oily, so its best for that. its just the latest ‘in thing’ for makeup. At Sephora, they did a huge launch and promotion of an at home airbrush makeup system and it was very popular.
airbrushing isn’t really about the foundation but more about the application.. it’s much lighter on your skin but seamless.. it’s almost impossible to get the same result with manual application.
here’s an example of the new Temptu brand airbrush system that recently came out at Sephora(US) i might get it done tooo.
^ No, not necessarily. But I could see why someone with acne would be more likely to opt for it.
^ yeah, that’s what she told me. I haven’t seen her pictures though.
Shirley would have been my first option a few years ago but I’ve seen that she isn’t very consistent. It’s a hit or a miss with her. And if I’m paying $500, it BETTER be good. So I didn’t bother going to her.
i went to Xpressions for party makeup and after making me sign a contract, they were an hour late, and charged an arm and leg. But they did do a good job (even though i was late at my brother's mehndi...my mom was not happy ..lol).
Shirley didnt charged me less than what ur paying, and she was very prompt, didnt charge extra, and also did a good job.
Good luck to you! You will be gorgeous regardless, inshallah!
^ Unfortunately, I've heard stories like that about almost every MUA that travels to your home. I'm not saying it's pleasant when it does happen but things happen (weather, traffic, personal issues) so this is almost inevitable.
I feel very good knowing that becasue I'll be getting married on a Friday, they have no other bookings and are coming to my home at 12 pm to start working on the bridal party just so that we are all on time.
I'm praying that everything goes smoothly.
I rang her for a qoute and she suggested someone closer to me who has trained from her.. still not decided whether im gonna use the other girl but this one is really good, love her make up.
P.s i wana go for the arabic style eye make up for the first day too
As for airbrushing.. I think it looks very good but masha’Allah my skin is in good condition so a good foundation should do me fine!! However if my beautician gives me the airbrush option then i wud defos go for it.
